Gave Callista some updated tattoos. Kept the spirit of the original design, but still made some major improvements IMO. Gonna work on designing her ex-girlfriend next 👀

any writing tidbits or fun facts youd be willing to share? if not, who's your favorite character(s) or the one you're most proud of in terms of design?

Writing? I'm not sure I'm the one to ask 😅 This is my first foray into the world of writing, so I am but a baby. I've just been aiming to have characters that are fun and relatable. I let their personalities lead the charge on how the rest of the story goes.

Favorite character? I never shy away from admitting it is my boi Jingle. I have so much planned for them, and I'm really excited to start getting some of that out into the world.

But in terms of design, I'm actually most proud of Sybil and Callista. I wanted to make designs that harkened back to the "freak show" aspect of circuses without making characters that were outcast.

Sybil is based on the bearded lady and Callista is based on the tattooed man/woman. I have some smaller stories for them, but I super love their designs. I love that they are both really beautiful and elegant characters and that they ended up being best friends :)

❤️💛💙Callista is definitely one of my FAVORITE characters from the Clowder Circus. She is free-spirited and always on the move. Her younger years were spent exploring the world. Now that she is in her 50s, a traveling circus is the perfect amount of excitement. She is a fire-eater and sword swallower, and has a large snake tattoo decorating her back. Due to being hairless, she gets cold pretty easily. Her signature scarf was handmade for her by Sybil, who is her closest friend. ❤️💙💛

Not much has changed since Callista’s inception (her design had only minor refining), but my art has changed so much in the last year, and I’m so happy with the improvements I’ve made. Her previous design, and a piece I made of her and Sybil, can be seen below ⬇️
