Kira!

another one of the girls! her name is Kira, she's a half-elf (you can tell because of her moth antennae and white freckles: elves in my story are digitigrade humanoids with both feline and moth characteristics!)

Kira is the daughter of a Very Important general of the dragon riders, so she is pressured from birth to follow the steps of his father. she attends the dragon academy (i gotta find a better name for it) he works in, so she can become a soldier and honour her family name. but she doesn't actually want to be like her father, so her character arc is all about finding who she is without his influence. oh, and she's also trans. that too.

anyway here is the original concept i drew in *checks notes* 2018-ish?

Miyu: Do you participate in strikes or the crucible? Kira: What’s your favorite weapon type/favorite weapon?

Miyu, on strikes/the crucible: 

Right now, it feels like I live in the Crucible. But, I’m grounded from Strikes and patrols right now, so it would seem that is the only way for me to see combat. I hope to get back to the real action soon.

Kira, on weapon types/favorite weapon:

I’m a very (VERY) new Guardian. So far I’ve discovered that I don’t like shotguns - if I’m that close, I might as well punch my enemy - and I almost always miss with a rocket launcher unless I blow myself up as well (Ghost gets angry with me for that). 

I’m decent with a scout rifle, and a hand cannon is alright, I guess, but I’m not exactly in a place where I can afford any of the fancy gear I see all these well-to-do Guardians running around with. I did get my hands on a machine gun recently, though. That was a good time
