😷 "How often do you get sick? Do you stay at home when sick or do you end up going outside to, say, get some groceries? If you go outside, would you wear a mask?"

I'm lucky enough to not get sick that often. I guess all the rolling around in the dirt as a kid helped build my immune system. At least the Lyrias Pharmacy is nearby here for the times I do get sick. And as much as I hate being stuck at home, I can't imagine making everyone else sick at my expense. With any luck I can convince Suzu to bring some remedy for me to take on his way home...

🍳 "Are you a good cook? Do you enjoy cooking? What's your favorite thing to cook?"

She laughs. I knew I was destined to be a terrible cook the day my mother tried to get me to boil water for potatoes as a child, and I forgot to add the water before the potatoes. I suspect she's still scraping burnt potato off the bottom of that pot...I'm just grateful that there are enough restaurants and taverns here in Lyrias that I don't even need to think about cooking. I've finally gotten the hang of boiling water for tea, though, if nothing else.

🧼 "Do you prefer to take a shower during the morning or evening? Do you like taking baths? What's your favorite scent of shower gel?"

Bathing in the morning is a pain! It's always far too chilly when I wake up to wait and boil water for a full bath, and I'd rather just do it when I come home and am already covered in sweat and dust from my day at the research lab. It helps me relax before bed, anyhow. And I love the smell of anything floral and woodsy; it reminds me of playing in the fields as a child.

💽 "Do you collect anything? Why?"

She shows you the top shelf of her dining room, adorned with maybe six or seven assorted plush birds. My sister gave me a stuffed penguin one year for Christmas...I thought it was just so cute, I wanted more to join him. She blushes as she picks up a blue, fluffy one. Haywood got me this one for my birthday a few years back...it was so thoughtful...

🧋 "What's your go-to thing to drink? Do you prefer cold or hot drinks?" Oh, I'm not too finicky about that...but here in Ilomaar it's always nice to have something warm to drink. Tessa usually has a nice selection of tea and hot chocolate in her shop...I should go look later.

🥂 "How do you celebrate you accomplishments?"

They snort. That would require me to actually have any accomplishments, smart one. But Xiomara was always getting on my case about loosening up a bit and going out to eat with her after a successful Hunting trip. Those taverns she goes to are loud and reek of drunk pissants, but she had my back for years now...so I owed it to her to go once in a while, I guess.

📖 "What kinds of books do you read? Do you have a lot of time to read?"

As if I had time to actually sit down and read a book. Usually those airships had a couple gossip magazines that made the time go by faster during Hunter missions. They pause and their face softens. Berkut does have a nice collection of books I've been meaning to look at. Maybe one of these days I'll get off my ass and pick one up.

He wraps his arms around himself and grins, rocking back and forth. Then he leads you to his family’s kitchen and taps on the leg of the table. His mother, Nastya, has made a tray of biscuits which are now cooling on a rack there. He flaps his claws excitedly, before grunting and pointing insistently at the table top.

❌ "Would you do something that someone told you not to do? Why? Is there someone you'd actually listen to more than everyone else?"

He thinks for a long moment, rocking and humming softly. Then he looks across the room, towards the large open window of the cabin, and points at a tree outside. He flaps his arms, where little wings protrude, over and over, ostensibly symbolizing flying. He takes off running towards his sister Etha, and when he stops, he points repeatedly at her.

Nara:

🍁 [MAPLE LEAF] What is your OC's favourite season? Why and what do they do during it? She isn't really picky about seasons! She feels each one has its pros and cons. She does like winter though because she prefers the cold to the excruciating heat...and she finds the snow pretty.

🌰 [CHESTNUT] What food group does your OC mostly eat (e.g., grains, fruits)? She loves veggies (and really does not like red meat, or meat at all, but she wouldn't consider herself a vegetarian). She bakes a lot and likes sweet things, but I don't think dessert is a food group...

🌻 [SUNFLOWER] Where would your OC get lost in the moment/beauty of the place? The forest 🥰 or the beach by the lake in summertime with her sister!

Roah:

🥀 [WILTED ROSE] How good is your OC at meeting deadlines? What motivates them? Roah is pretty good at staying on top of things. They take pride in their work and getting things done right (to the point where if they mess up or fail, they're excruciatingly hard on themself). Their best motivator is iced coffee...for early mornings and long days.

🌱 [SEEDLING] What new passions/hates is your OC discovering? Passions - painting, photography, and listening to music. They didn't have time (or the mental health) to have any true hobbies till they retired from Hunter work. Hates - shoveling snow and working as part of a team vs. independently as a village guard.

Xyvie:

🌿 [HERB] Is your OC religious? What do they believe in? Xyvie doesn't really have a set religion or set of beliefs; she probably thinks that all there is to life is what exists in this lifetime. She'd like to believe in fate, though...if only to hope that all things happen for a reason.

☘️ [SHAMROCK] How passionate is your OC about things they love/hate? Sort of "quietly passionate" for her likes - she will put her energy and thoughts into the things she loves (like cooking and reading) but not go out of her way to discuss her hobbies with anyone unless they ask. You can, however, sort of watch her face light up when she talks about something (or someone) she loves. For hate, it's a bit different...she tries not to hate anything or anyone, but she holds deep seething rage for the person who killed her parents (understandably), and if it's brought up, you can see as her body tenses and her tone of voice turns acidic. It's very very obvious passionate hatred.

🌸 [CHERRY BLOSSOM] Does your OC believe in legends/myths? Not really. Like Xyvie she puts most of her focus on the physical world - things you can touch and see and study. She'd probably find them interesting to read from a historical point of view, though...

💮 [WHITE FLOWER] Has your OC ever kissed someone? Who, when, and where? Besides the chaste kisses on the cheek or hand from boys her parents forced her to dance with at parties, nope - she had a friend with benefits in college, but she had a strict "no kissing on the mouth" rule, so...that's all the experience she has.

🎬 ACTING - are they a good liar? What are giveaways when they are lying? Nara is a terrible liar. She will just go quiet before she tells a lie. Her lying is typically just "lying by omission" rather than full-out fibs. But when she does it's all the stereotypical signs of lying: avoiding eye contact, fidgeting, stumbling through sentences.

🏝 ISLAND - if they could go anywhere, where would they go and why? Literally anywhere with a forest and fewer than ten people. She grew up in a gentrified and overpopulated city and hated it so PLEASE give this babygirl some nature.

18. How does your oc fare in an emergency situation? Do they panic, do they freeze, do they take charge? She used to be very much a freeze type of person, but she's forced herself to become someone to fight immediately when faced with danger. Her being on edge constantly after the deaths of her parents makes her quick to react in an emergency as well.

26. How stylistically fancy is your oc? Or would they rather go for comfort and plainness instead? Xyvie likes pale and rustic colours, and she also really loves wearing layers of clothing (e.g. cloaks and shawls). If that isn't an option (like if it's too warm), she will still go for something soft and stylistically simple. She isn't one to show a lot of skin or wear anything crazy or bright; she doesn't like drawing attention to herself.

30. How much does your oc swear? Or do they keep completely clean? Why is this? Is there any situation where they would be the opposite? She doesn't swear very much or at all, really. She's really softspoken and although she isn't offended by swearing (although she isn't used to it since people she hangs around don’t swear either), it's just not in her nature to do so! As for if there ever were a situation where she would...she might if she were in a lot of trouble or very angry? But even then, it's fairly unlikely.

33. How does your oc’s own perception of themselves compare to how other people see them? Is your oc aware that other people see them differently (if it’s different)? She doesn't see herself as anything special - not exceptionally ugly nor beautiful. She knows she probably comes off as timid and physically weak to others, but neither of those things are particularly untrue. She is probably harder on herself than necessary, though; many people think highly of her.

23. How difficult is it for your oc to get to sleep? Do they fall asleep the moment they hit the pillow, or do they have insomnia? Any reason why? She has a lot of anxiety, and had some trauma in her teen years and hasn't slept very well since then. Whether they're correlated is anyone's guess but she is a chronic insomniac and was usually up at night doing other things on lieu of lying in bed unable to sleep. She sleeps better nowadays, though 😊

34. How easily does your oc throw something away? As soon as something is through with its usefulness, or are they more like a hoarder? Is there a reason? Nara is very frugal in general so she wouldn't have much to hoard or throw away regardless. She has always been more of a minimalist in her decorating style as well, maybe because she and her sister shared a room growing up. If she doesn't need or use something and she can't sell or give it away, she likely won't keep it, though...

35. Is your oc a workaholic, or do they find it hard to be busy at all? Do they find it easy to relax, or must they have something to do at all times? Why? She prefers to be busy - if she isn't working she wants to be doing something like crafts or hiking or traveling. She finds it a bit boring to just sit around doing nothing. Still, she enjoys having a hot shower or bath and relaxing after a long day!

👤 - what's the origin behind their name? [either within or outside of their lore] In universe: her parents liked longer names that ended with "-a". Me I wanted an E name and @ponzu sent me a whole whack and Eleonara was the one I felt the most drawn to!

💓 - what's something small that holds great signifigance to them? why? Nara teaches kids and any sort of drawing or art project her students make for her, she will 100 percent keep. She feels those sorts of handmade things are super special especially from little ones because it means someone is thinking of her enough to make her something!

👁️ - what do they fear the most? what mundane fears [spiders, darkness, etc.] do they have? She hates the dark. She will sleep with a nightlight if she's sleeping alone and won't go out alone after dark. It's mostly a childhood thing she never grew out of. She doesn't mind as much if someone is with her though.

🎉 - how do they feel about interacting with strangers? Nara is VERY shy. She will be polite and kind if someone approaches her, and she does like having/making friends, but it takes her a while to warm up to others. She only approaches strangers if she absolutely has to.

👑 - what's their favorite childhood memory? if they didn't have a childhood, would they like to have one? Spending the summers back in the city, usually at the lake's beach or walking downtown at the strip mall with the candy/comic store for her younger sister...

🦠 - do they get sick easily? Nah, her immune system is pretty strong. She works with kids and her younger sister was in daycare all her life so...Nara's been exposed to pretty much everything, LOL
