Elaborating on my demisexual!Dottore post, I'm convinced that the Doctor is absolutely a man who positively worships your body and finds it as lovely as he does fascinating. He has no set "type"; if you have a sleek, thinner build, he is all about tracing the fine edges of your body with his fingers, the places where bones are visible beneath your skin, probably telling you the medical term for each one in a voice that somehow still manages to sound sultry. If you're heavier set or chubby he is groping at you like a stress toy, content to have you in his lap to lovingly stroke the curves of your hips and stomach and thighs, admiring them and the fact they belong to you of all people.

You can do no wrong when it comes to how you look. Dottore will fall for your mind and intellect first, the way you view the world and accept him and listen so eagerly to his ideas amidst all the carnage carried within, and your body becomes absolutely flawless thereafter.

every time i try to make a cohesive mithrun + disability post i just end up rambling because ??? he's so good??? a disabled character who doesn't magically become abled at the end of the story?? a disabled character whom people respect (and Pattadol explicitly says she does in the Handbook) and look up to?? a disabled character in a role of power where yes his disability DOES stop him and yes he DOES need accommodations in order to fulfill that role?? a passively suicidal disabled character with self harm scars?? a disabled character who requires caregiving and isn't infantilized for it by the rest of the cast??

Pantalone/Dottore/Reader is the best kind of polycule 🔥💰🧪

Spoilers for 6.3 AQ/leaks beneath the cut and a lot of yapping ~

My loose outline was something like, Prime!Dottore knows the Tsaritsa and the Fatui are after him after his segment’s shenanigans in Nod-Krai (my personal theory is that who we fight is a segment...hopium copium), and pays off Pantalone to lend him one of his mansions to use as a new lab/hideout. He does not however tell Pantalone he has an...assistant, an assistant Pantalone quickly realizes is the Doctor’s lover, and an assistant whom Pantalone just as quickly falls for (and knows [believes?] he can't have). Some sort of angst involving Reader...my beloved @fatuismooches has a beautifully fleshed out concept for a chronically ill Reader whom Dottore is trying to cure using all available resources at his disposable, but I also have an OC/self-insert whom he met back at the Akademiya, fell in love with, and who died prematurely...centuries later he managed to reincarnate them by playing with Irminsul and now must transcend their fate to prevent them from dying the same way again. EITHER WAY it's a "clock is ticking" scenario whereby Dottore begrudgingly needs Pantalone’s help, Pantalone initially sees it as a transcation, but ends up going a bit soft for both The Doctor and Reader while seeing Dottore oddly tender in the presence of his darling. And perhaps during his days toiling in his lab, Dottore knows Pantalone is keeping Reader company, and though he is intelligent enough to realize his colleague is falling for his partner, practically speaking...isn't it more useful to have two people looking after you instead of one? Or so he tells himself, because The Doctor has never needed anyone’s help...till now, of course...

Out of everything he misses of his homeland, Dottore probably misses the food most of all. He's tinkered with his body to the point where he doesn't need food to survive (and created segments who don't need to eat either) but there is something nostalgic and emotional about the taste and smell of the dishes he grew up with and enjoyed during his time at the Akademiya. Late nights studying at Lambad's Tavern absentmindedly nibbling on chicken shawarma. Surviving exam season with an impressive stash of charcoal-baked Ajilenakh cakes. And of course there's the tea and coffee that no other nation he's visited since then has been able to match...let alone the spices.

There is no doubt he has as much of it imported to his Fatui labs as possible, but it’s never as fresh as he remembers. I think he'd even miss the exile of the desert, sometimes, if only to have his comfort food within reach. A piece of his homeland that never rejected him.
