Day 15: mysterious artifact
Mountain tunnels work as portals to the next dimension if you know what to chant
The great thing about James is that I get to pretty much just read / watch about magic and call it research. But anyway I ran into an interesting concept the other day in one of my research hops. Dealing with a melding of the concept of higher power and reincarnation.
The idea is that the divine is truly infinite. Ok, nothing special there. But that it is an ever escalating infinity of combinations beyond the divisions of the base / mundane / gross material world.
So at the lowest level we are all individuals. All separate life forms. Even separated in time. Even from ourselves. We move from life to life, separate, the soul continuing but all other aspects of the individual lost. So it is much as being separate individuals.
Now you take the first step up the line of the infinite. Stepping outside of time you are one being living multiple lives, all at once. Because time is one of the illusions of the gross material world. Each life is a protrusion of this great one soul into a separate place but from this vantage point you are one and all the wisdom / knowledge / power of each falsely disparate life is in fact accessible to this greater singular existence. This is the first level of the higher power, accessing all of you. The wisdom of all your lives, past, present, and future as one to counsel and guide you to what you need as that whole. Each life proves to be a unique problem for your great soul with all of the great soul to turn to each problem.
You take the next step up the line and it is not just you, again, separation is an illusion, the divinities of your apparently separate group are the whole of all of you together across time and space.
You take the next step up the line and even the separation of the divinities is shown to be an illusion, all gods are one God. All of time, space, and reality are one thing.
You take the next step up the line and even the separation of possibilities are shown to be an illusion. All is true. All is possible. The one God of an infinite universe becomes the one God of an infinity of infinities.
At which point our gross material brains and language start to break down and we can’t describe the next step up the line. But there are infinite steps. There is an infinite higher power. As we are to the one God, the one God is to something else that It has trouble conceiving.
In this conception of connection. We are all one. We simply to learn to access our competency in stages. I am the best that I can be. Which isn’t much. I accept that I am the competency of all my bests, which is quite something in human terms. I accept that I, too, am one with divinity. I accept that I am god. I accept that I am God. Etc.
Reaching for your higher power is reaching for a more inclusive vision of what constitutes you. I am that. And that is much larger than simply me.
I feel like this becomes an even more interesting idea when you meld it with the idea of a non-singular soul. That that would be the inherent connection and correlation between souls. Not only am I ever person to share this singular soul, I am, above that, every person to have shared a part of this soul which has moved, split, and merged.
And, I don’t know. I just that it was really interesting. And makes an interesting connection with what I’m trying to do with Bonelfoermos - James. That Bonelfoermos would, in a real sense, be that higher power for James. The tiny piece of James that is a tiny piece of Bonelfoermos would, in the growth of enlightenment, become at the perfect moments Bonelfoermos - the whole of all his soul parts and experiences stretching from one end of history to the other, unconfined by the smallness of singular human lives but also made intentionally stronger by living those singular human lives. Every life is Bonelfoermos striving for better in a way that an individual wouldn’t necessarily understand but which Bonelfoermos as the whole can see as interdependent tasks for the whole of him. And so Bonelfoermos would be both the best and worst of James, he would be the most extreme version of him, the him shaped by all experiences and powers including tragedies and weaknesses.
Those days where i feel like all i can do is ask "what the fuck are we even Doing?" I mean, seriously: What's the goal? What's the Process? How about "Mindful awareness in the process and pursuit of fighting for the reduction of either harm or the desire to harm." Is that anything? Because, right now, it’s like pulling the 5 of wands for your past AND present, & being pretty damn sure there's at least one 3 in your future.
