Marion Morgan (1881-1971)

Marion Morgan was a physical education and dance teacher. She founded a women's dance group that performed on the Orpheum circuit, a chain of vaudeville and film theatres, with a repertoire based on classical Egyptian, Greek and Roman themes. Later, she began creating choreography for the cinema. In 1921, Marion Morgan met director Dorothy Arzner on the set of a film. The two women remained together for forty years, until Marion Morgan's death.

Rosemary Hume (1907 – 1984)

Rosemary Hume was an English chef and author. She was one of the first English women to be trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. In 1933, she founded a cookery school in London. Together with her partner Constance Spry, she devised the recipe now known as Coronation Chicken, to celebrate the coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953.

Constance Spry (1886 - 1960)

Constance Spry was a very successful florist in the 1930s. She created the flower arrangements for several royal weddings, as well as the coronation of Elizabeth II (1953). She founded the Constance Spry Flower School in 1936. After the Second World War, she established a domestic science school with her partner, Rosemary Hume. Constance Spry has written thirteen books, including ‘Flower Decoration’ and ‘The Constance Spry Cookery Book’, a famous cookery book co-written with Rosemary Hume.
