This song comes from a place shaped by 13 years of oppression, mistreatment, and ridicule. It carries a great deal of pain but also a great deal of light. If even one person can relate to it, that alone will mean everything to us. In the end, self-love is where it all begins. It’s the starting point for learning to embrace everything.
