( timothee chalamet , cismale , he/him ) i think i just saw sage abram down by the shore. i know the twenty four year old tattoo artist has been in oceanview point for twelve years , but they’re family nonetheless. i’ve noticed they’re pretty expressive , but it’s rumored they’re a little insensitive. guess it makes sense after all they’re a gemini. they always remind me of baby boy—kevin abstract and freshly brewed coffee, long sleeves on warm days, empty promises through gritted teeth.
a california native, but you'd probably never know unless someone told you. he moved to oceanview point when he was twelve because of a job opportunity for his parents, and he's been in town ever since. save for the few sporadic road trips he's taken over the years. no matter how far he goes, he always finds his way back.
something sage will never be is dishonest—at least not consciously. he tells things how he sees them, even if it's going to hurt somebody along the way. he doesn't take the most empathetic approach toward handling others, and as a result he's frayed the nerves of almost everyone he's spent time with. he doesn't see anything wrong with the way he handles things. he calls it realism.
sage's biggest calling in life is art. he's mostly into sketching and dabbles here and there with other mediums, but always comes back to his comfort zone. he's turned his passion into a career, albeit not the most profitable one. he's good at what he does, and extremely dedicated, but that doesn't necessarily equate to a steady stream of paying customers. he's in over his head with expenses, just barely scraping by with rent. he's happy with his job, but wishes it'd show him a little more promise.
sage says some pretty dumb shit sometimes. he has the world's smallest filter so if he thinks it he's 9/10 gonna say it. he's gotten himself in trouble more times than he can count, but luckily he's secure enough to not care what most people think of him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ most of the time it's just harmless jokes or out there ideas because his imagination is almost always churning.
he's going through a rough patch right now, trying to figure out which way is up after a breakup. it was a pretty serious, long-term relationship and sage is emotionally Not Well. he's a bit more brash than he usually is because of it, and he knows it too. he has a difficult time dealing with hard feelings so he projects a lot of them onto others. sorry if you get caught in the cross hairs 😮💨
despite being a little difficult to be around, sage is an extremely friendly and welcoming person. v hospitable but oh boi once he's mad it all goes out the window. but enough about his mean streak!! he's generally very easy going and accepting, open to new things, and will absolutely ask a stranger to hang out even if they seem seedy 🥴
sage isn't the most trustworthy person unfortunately. he rarely keeps his promises, rainchecks literally everybody bc he's either excited about something else or in a bad mood. when he's on he's great though! he hardly does this with people he's close to, but there aren't too many of those dkejsjk he’s generally closed off emotionally nd doesn’t let too many people see the inner workings of his life

dezzie was the product of what was suppose to be a one night stand, that turned into a forced marriage when two lines showed up on a pregnancy test. it goes without saying that the two young parents weren’t exactly thrilled about the situation. while her mother had always wanted to be a parent, her father was on the opposite end of that spectrum. in fact, he planned on just making money and basking in the glow of the single life until he grew old and passed away.
her father was distant with her, even in the beginning, so it was no question that she was easily a momma’s girl. it only solidified when she was ten and her father announced that he was leaving. he was filing for divorce and going to be with another woman, who he had been seeing for a few years, unbeknownst to her mother.
dezzie doesn’t like thinking about that day. whether it be for her mother’s sake or her own, but it would be the last time she saw her father for a long time. she was there for her mother, as much as a ten year old could be. she would clean up extra if she saw that her mother was feeling down, made sure her grades were above average so that she wouldn’t have another thing to worry about on her plate.
after a few years, her mother seemed to get better. it was as if a light had been switched on, and she remembered that she had a daughter to take care of. of course, dezzie didn’t mind taking care of her mother, but then again you never realize your missing out on your childhood until it’s already gone.
when dezzie was 14, she started learning to skateboard. it was something she hadn’t expected to fall in love with, but even now the girl refuses to buy a car because she feels she would neglect lucy ( what she named said skateboard ).
when she was fifteen, one of the worst things that could possibly happen, happened. the only person she had that she was close to, her mother, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. she was told that she wouldn’t have more than a six months to live, and to make arrangements for anything she might need.
however, six months was too generous, and within two her mother was put on hospice, and two weeks later, her mother passed away. because she didn’t have any grandparents, there was only one person that could take her, so she didn’t get put into the foster system. her father.
she had tracked him down to oceanview point, where she had to swallow her pride and ask him to take her in. she made promises that she wouldn’t be there for more than two years, and she would pay her own bills with some of the inheritance that she got from her mother, and that he would never have to hear from her again.
her father said yes, but it caused a bigger problem then she knew. apparently her father and the women he had been seeing were now married, and how two children together. his new wife was furious with this new turn of events, but to make her husband happy reluctantly agreed.
it became a very odd situation. dezzie paid for her own food, got herself up for school, and even got a part time job so that she could save up money to get her own place when she finally came of age. she wasn’t invited to family get togethers, or even was allowed to have family dinner with them everynight. if anyone asked who she was, passive answers of her being an exchange student came about before changing the subjects. her half siblings didn’t even know who she really was. they were told that she was just a friend and would be gone before they knew it.
by the time she finally turned 18, the girl was more than ready to move out, and did so quietly as not to disturbed anyone or cause anymore problems. she got herself a small apartment, and even adopted a great dane puppy which she named brutus. he’s now four years old and a massive lap dog, but she loves him dearly. she works at a local diner as a waitress, making okay money to support herself.

evangeline conner was the preachers daughter. growing up she went to church every sunday along with her mother, father, older sister, and little brother. exactly one year apart, every one of them. they had what seemed to be the perfect family. her sister was the genius who had all a’s, evie was the sporty one. shining in her gymnastics class from day one, and her little brother was the whimsical one. always singing and being a ray of sunshine for everyone around.
as she got older, evie began to like the edgier side of things. rock bands, skateboarding, and fantasy novels. the only reason she joined the cheerleading squad in middle school was to appease her parents. they kept telling her it would be great on college applications and such. so she joined, and somehow became the chill cheerleader. she hung out with the guys more than she did the other cheerleaders, so of course most of the girls began to label her out of jealousy.
she became notarized as the ‘slut’ from it all, but it never bothered her. of course she did the usual teenage stuff, like going to parties, and even started smoking weed. of course her parents never knew, and still don’t know to this day, but the girl never slept around. it wasn’t like she was a virgin, but she wasn’t sleeping with every guy around.
in fact, she fell in love. it was with the star football player, rolan. once they started dating, everyone knew that those two were soulmates. their junior year they made plans to go to the same school, ucla. they wanted to get out of the small town and get on to bigger better things. he wanted a career with football, and evie made plans to cheer him on as a cheerleader. it was a match made in heaven as her father use to say.
during their senior year, the two were both awarded scholarships to ucla. rolan with football, and evie with cheerleading. it seemed as if their dreams were coming true, and it was all perfect. graduation was just a few short weeks away, and as kids due, they went to a party to celebrate.
rolan wasn’t a drinker, mainly due to his own father’s problems, and evie wouldn’t drink if her was around, and perhaps if the two had indulged that night, they never would have gotten into the car that would change their lives forever.
you see, rolan was driving, and they were talking about their futures together, when a drunk classmate of theirs slammed into the side of their car. evie doesn’t remember much after that, aside from the sounds of sirens that surrounded her. the next thing she knew, she was waking up in the hospital with her parents by her bed, crying.
they informed her, that rolan died on impact, and that she had a broken femur as well as two herniates discs. the other driver had survived and was currently in jail waiting for his court hearing. the doctors told her that she was going to be in a wheelchair for some time, until she could heal her leg and back.
from this, she lost her scholarship, and even if she hadn’t, evie knew she’d never have gone without rolan there. but the girl still spiraled into a depression. it was hard for her. she had survivors guilt, along with the fact that her future didn’t have anything to show for it.
it wasn’t until a year later that she was able to walk on her own again, and even after she gained that ability back, she wasn’t fully herself. it wasn’t until she was twenty that her sister finally told her off.
she said that she needed to live her life again, if not for herself, but for rolan who no longer could. it was those words that finally had her realizing just exactly what she was wasting. so she started going to school online to get her degree to teach. she graduated when she was 22 and she got a job at the very high school she attended, and even started coaching the cheerleading team.
she had good days and bad days, whether it be her back hurting her, or something reminds her of rolan, but she gets through it. she’s taking life one step at a time.

background
benji’s parents were fresh out of high school when he was born, the pregnancy came as a shock to everyone but his parents handled it surprisingly well. while delilah studied for her nursing degree, levi got a job at her father’s auto repair shop. within a year, the family of three were living on their own (with a lot of support from their families, of course). and next thing they knew, the family of three had turned into a family of six. and while trying to keep up with the schedules of four different kids proved to be difficult at times, they wouldn’t have it any other way.
it was no secret to anyone that benji idolized his father - he was the one who introduced him to his love for music, who taught him how to play guitar, who encouraged him when he expressed an interest in music as a career. he could spend hours talking to his father about anything. so, when his father was killed by a drunk driver when he was seventeen, it hit him pretty hard. he managed to hold it together for a few hours after he found out but that night, after everyone else in the house had gone to sleep, he took off in his car. he just felt an overwhelming need to get away, from that house, from that town, from everything. he didn’t say a word to his mother before he left and didn’t answer any of her countless calls or texts during the time he was away. the error in this decision didn’t quite hit him until he returned home the next afternoon to his mother hugging him in tears (leading him to break down in tears himself, apologizing profusely). it’s not a memory he enjoys looking back on, it just reminds him of how much of a selfish asshole he was then.
benji had big plans for himself his senior year. he was going to move out to los angeles, start a band, and make it big! he was going to be a rockstar! he would show everyone that he could make it, he would make his parents proud someday. these dreams were quickly discarded after his father’s death, once he realized that his mother was suddenly left alone with three minors to care for. she never asked him to stay and in fact, tried to convince him not to when he told her his intentions to do so. nothing she said convinced him and so... he stayed. he got certified as a mechanic after graduation and went to work at his grandpa’s auto repair shop (the same one his father worked at before his death).
he still has a passion for music and an interest in maybe someday turning it into an actual career - he knows it’s a bit of a longshot though. he’s happy enough just playing for his friends and family now. is sort of thinking of starting a band here in oceanview but is not entirely sure yet....
headcanons
has a box full of woven friendship bracelets that his little sister has made for him over the years... is always wearing at least one. thinks they’re pretty cool. likes to give them out to his friends too and he will judge them if they don’t wear it. like, you think you’re too cool for a friendship bracelet? no you’re not put it on right now
tries his hardest to be the rational and responsible one in his friend group.... tries to talk his friends out of doing dumb shit but usually ends up doing it with them in the end.... he’ll say it’s just to make sure they don’t die but he actually enjoys it.
very much the type to put other people’s needs before his own. he’s allergic to doing things for himself and needs to be pushed to actually do so. isn’t very open about his feelings :// tends to keep things bottled up. and it honestly has a lot to do with him being embarrassed about the way he acted when his dad died.
honestly really likes cooking!!! is usually the one cooking dinner at home (especially if his mom is working a late shift at the hospital), has a list of recipes to try out, and usually tries something new at least once a week.
really likes puns.... dad joke extraordinaire. will laugh at his own jokes even if no one else thought it was funny.
loves to go stargazing, especially with other people. he likes to flex his knowledge lol. is definitely known as the ‘cool guy who knows a lot about stars’ among some of his siblings’s friends.
