How Far I’ll Go|| Rapunzel and Moana

Everyone assumed, when the Sun Lily had been brewed into a tea that saved Queen Arianna and inexplicably gave the infant Rapunzel healing powers, that it had been the only one. After all, Corona legend spoke of a single drop of sunlight falling from the heavens.

That was why Rapunzel was so surprised as she was paging through a brand new book about far off myths and legends from exotic places to find a legend about a magic, golden flower that grew on a tropical island, somewhere in the South Pacific. And as soon as she laid eyes on the illustration in the book, she felt a deep sense of longing, and she knew she had to find it. With her healing power stripped from her, she felt useless, even with all her hobbies and skills and her newly rediscovered position of power.

She had to find it.

That was why she found herself out on the open sea, prepared to search every square inch if need be. She had to find the flower and bring it back to Corona. She had to bring the healing magic back to her people.

Like You || Masina & Moana

     It felt strange to be back home after spending a few months away but the moment her bare feet would touch the white sands of Motunui it felt as if she never left home. She took a deep breath taking in the richness of the ocean’s smell. The briny salty air filled her lungs and she could feel herself relax almost instantly. She’d been nervous about coming back home because she had yet to do anything epic back in Auradon. “There she is!” shouted a familiar voice and Masina glanced up to see her oldest brother Maui running towards her. She grinned and when she was enveloped in a bear-like embrace she let out a grunt. Maui was always terribly strong, which Masina always reasoned that it was why her mother had chosen that name for him. 

     “Maui...crushing....stop.” she breathed and the young man set her down. “Ahh sorry baby sis,” he said while messing up her hair. She had forgotten how rough her brothers were...

     “Come on. She’s waiting for you,” he said with a nod of his head. Masina gulped and stood frozen in fear for a few moments before following her big brother back to the tribe’s council hut. She took a deep breath before stepping inside. She watched as her brother and mother exchanged a few words before she stepped up and offered her mother an awkward little smile.

    Ever gentle eyes are full of a motherly affection when the rest upon the young girl, chosen by the ocean itself to save her. The goddess is more than grateful to the brave voyager, a smile upon her lips while she watches both boat and passenger approach her island.

    Flowers bloom in welcome of Moana, Te Fiti lowering her hand for her to step upon so that she can greet her properly. Even as a goddess, the woman grows lonely from time to time on the island.

   So this is a most welcomed visit indeed.
