1.) Do you care more for the 'greater good' of the world or for what is good for you and those you love?

Well. I mean. I really look forward to helping out my friends and those I love. I don't know if I can put it over- I mean, honestly, what's good for the world is good for those I love, isn't it? Making things better for everyone includes those that I love. So why can't I put both of them at the same level of importance...?

2.) Who was the most important person to you growing up?

Probably my mentor, Kasnaou. He was there a lot for me, even when he seemed like he didn't want to be. I saw more of him than my actual parents.

3.) Do you prefer sad songs or upbeat songs?

Upbeat, definitely. They're just so much fun!

The one raised an eyebrow and shifted in his seat. “And what, exactly, is everything?” She huffed. “Oh, you know. Maps of the other kingdoms. Customs. Proper ways for a princess to behave. Courtly manners. My role in the land as Princess Lyra, the one to be wedded to your princess upon the next moonfall.” She stared at them as she said it, glaring, daring them to defy her word. The one across from her just snorted. “How to act like a high-born, you mean.” Her glare intensified. He sighed and leaned forward. “Look…if you do not want to tell us your name, that is one thing. And I congratulate you upon learning the name of the incoming princess. That is not public knowledge yet, so you are incredibly well informed for a thief. And possibly the murders on the ship inbound were not your fault. Your companion certainly carries more guilt than you. However, until you are willing to tell us the truth and not a mix of myth and cleverly-constructed falsehoods…” he gestured to the guards behind him. “We will have to postpone this conversation until a later date.”

I dunno, OC wheel fell on one of the ones from Midnight Madness, so let's have a quick share from that WIP! Pretty sure I haven't shared this bit before, it's an idea I was workshopping a bit as I went.

This leaf was from the Great Tree itself. It had come when she learned she was to leave instead of have one come to her. She had run away and cried out in anger. And the single leaf had fallen from above. The veins of the leaf had looked like a map to her, and upon further study she found it matched a bit of map from Geshon. It was as if the Great Tree were telling her “here. This is the key to your freedom.” She had memorized the part of the map of Geshon. She would let Qwakas take her to Koriann. She would participate in the transference ceremony. She would learn specifically what the customs were…and then she was find the perfect time to slip away, find a ship that would take her to Geshon, and flee. She would follow the map the Evertree had given her, and she would find freedom. Qwakas patted her on the shoulder. “I know…this is likely not what you want, princess,” he said softly, “but try to trust me when I tell you things are done this way for a reason. You will see. It will be good.” She fixed him with a wide, brimming smile. “Of course it will be, Qwakas. I’m sure this will be the best mikoksno adventure ever.” He immediately groaned and rubbed at his eyes as her grin grew wider. “Princess,” he chided tiredly, “...language. Please.”

Sidenote: Qwakas basically means 'tutor' in her language and acts as a title, and also I can't remember if I had a name for him yet when I wrote this or not and that's why she only refers to him as Tutor here.

Also she dropped an F-bomb.

It might change in a future draft as I develop language and things more, but still. I'm pretty sure she's always going to swear in front of Kasnaou because she thinks it's funny.

OCs Time!

I figured it's about time to lay down some basic info about my ocs. In the very least, the ones I talk about the most 😂

Kashi Full name is Nesa-Ipokashipoke, “No-path, Wanderer of Moons” in Aanmon, her home language. She's from a planet of shape-shifters that consider themselves "two-skins" after they meet others that don't shape shift. She appears human due to something that roughly translates to 'Starmask'. She got to our planet accidentally but isn't super keen on going back home.

Rod Magician. Theif. Trickster. Imp. Part human, part something else. You can kill him all you want, but he'll keep coming back until he gets what he's after. He has very few friends (and most of them are sorta frenemies). He's an asshole and a good guy all in one. And he's got as many secrets as he does lives.

Jules A mix of solid and fluid parentage, Jules merely wants to open the portals between our world and hers...and she's willing to destroy our world if that'll accomplish our goals. Now, she knows that's a last line, but it doesn't matter. She'll do what she has to in order to go home.

Becks Half earth sprite, half human. She constantly walks the line between the two, constantly made aware of the dangers of her mere existence. Becks, as she is, is the latest version of herself and has many versions of herself scattered throughout the years, nomad to captive, hero to villain. Chain her and she will use the chains as a weapon, confine her and she will kick the walls as many times as it takes to escape, take away what she holds dear and she will burn the world to get it back.

Lyra High-blood (Nobel, princess, I'm still working on the actual term) of a series of islands on her planet. She comes from a planet of what we would call elves (the planet is named Elkien, so they call themselves Elken/Elks but the ‘k’ sound sounds move like a ‘v’ in their native tongue to explain the whole Elken/Elvin thing). Antlers, wings, pointed ears that swivel and wiggle. She's always a fan of chaos, swears in her own language because she thinks it's funny (especially if no one knows what it means) and isn't above using her horns to headbutt others when the moment calls for it. Charismatic, driven, a little bit loud. Loyal.
