MISSION REPORT:

Bourbon is synonymous with the state of Kentucky, so much so that in 1999 the Kentucky Distillers’ Association created the now infamous tourist attraction that is the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The road-trip, linking together numerous distilleries throughout the state, has drawn in thousands, all wishing to get a taste of one of Kentucky’s most popular commodities. And as with many other spirits, the price range of a bottle of bourbon can vary widely- incredibly widely.

The most expensive bottles of bourbon can reach up into the thousands, the highest price reaching even into the twenty thousands. There are three distilleries in particular, known for their high-brow bottles, and it is at these three distilleries that a recent client has requested the Collective’s “expertise” to help them acquire a few of these rare bottles for themself.

The villains who decide to put their name on this mission, will receive additional information regarding which bottles and distilleries to hit. Mr. Blue has also mentioned that he would very much like a bottle or two for himself if the villains find themselves able to steal additional bottles than just those the client wants. Once the stolen goods have been safely acquired, the villains are to meet the client at a location that will be forwarded to them on the day of the burglary.

MISSION REPORT:

Among the numerous treasures throughout history that have seemingly vanished without a trace, the legendary treasure of the São Vicente is among the largest in reported value. In 1357 the São Vicente had disembarked from Lisbon, filled to the brim with treasure acquired by Thibaud de Castillon, a recently deceased bishop who has since been considered one of the wealthiest in history. After the bishop’s death, Pope Innocent VI wasted no time in acquiring a vessel and crew in order to transport the vast fortune to his home in Avignon, France, with the intention of claiming it for the Church. 

All hopes of acquiring the treasure would be dashed however, when two pirate ships captured the São Vicente off the coast of Cartagena, in modern-day Spain. Armed to the teeth, the pirates were able to easily seize the fortune for themselves, and divided it evenly between their ships before fleeing the scene of the crime. One ship, captained by Antonio Botafoc, would later be captured after it ran aground. The second ship, captained by Martinus Johannes, would vanish without a trace and has never been found. 

What happened to Martinus Johannes, his crew and ship, as well as the vast fortune it held, has been a mystery none have been able to solve. That is until one week ago, when the rumor mill within the criminal underground began buzzing with reports that wreckage from a 14th century Spanish vessel had been found within the waters surrounding the Azores. Ever since, teams of criminals and non-Collective villains have been scouring the various islands of the archipelago, eager to see if an infamous treasure might await them. The contents of such treasure are reported to include gold, silver, rings, tapestries, jewels, fine plates, and several religious relicts- a vast wealth that will make anyone millions once found. With so much buzz surrounding the potential wreck site, the Collective has deemed it appropriate to send out a team of its own, in hopes of claiming the infamous treasure for itself.

MISSION REPORT:

The State Hermitage Museum, located in Saint Petersburg, Russia, is credited as the largest art museum in the world, and among the oldest still operating. Founded in 1764 to house Empress Catherine the Great’s impressive art collection, the State Hermitage Museum has been celebrating Russian culture and history since before the U.S won its independence. 

This upcoming weekend all eyes will be on the museum once again, as it celebrates a new jewelry collection that centers on pieces reportedly worn by various attendees of the infamous 1903 Costume Ball that was held at the Winter Palace. To commemorate the opening of this new exhibit, the museum is putting on a gala, allowing those wealthy enough to afford a ticket, to be among the first to view the impressive exhibit. 

It is one particular piece in this collection that has caught the eye of one of the Collective’s frequent clients. The piece in question is the impressive headpiece worn by Baroness Emma Freederiksz. The client is willing to put up any expense to acquire the piece, even obtaining gala tickets for the two Collective members willing to complete the job, and setting aside money for them to acquire a wardrobe that would help them fit in among the elite attendees.

MISSION REPORT: 

Three days ago, The Collective of Supervillainy was hired by one Ophelia Fairfax of Kensington, London to carry out an abduction- her own. Ophelia Fairfax is not an unknown name within The Collective, in fact she reaches out to the agency at least twice a year regarding some petty wrong she feels a supervillain must help right for her. The last time she called upon the Collective’s assistance was to make sure her rival could not attend the Met Gala, and therefore attempt to upstage Mrs. Fairfax. This time, it seems, Mrs. Fairfax has quite another plan in mind for our supervillains. 

Without going into much detail, Mrs. Fairfax has requested that a pair of Collective villains abduct her from her home in Kensington, and attempt to carry out a ransom. Just why Mrs. Fairfax would want to be abducted is anyone’s guess, but likely is a means to gain attention for herself, or pull Mr. Fairfax away from his mistress- who is rumored to be vacationing with him in Monaco. Of course, it could also be the case Mrs. Fairfax is simply bored, and thought being abducted might liven up her Saturday. Regardless of the reason, she has paid the Collective quite a hefty sum of cash to carry out the deed, and promises more at its completion.

MRS. OPHELIA FAIRFAX: London socialite, and frequent client of the Collective. Villains are cautioned not to anger her, so as not to lose out on her future business.
