Given the size of the estate, it is very easy for one to get lost while exploring what lies behind its numerous doors. It was in one of these such rooms, known to members as The Museum, that a rather peculiar mystery has began to unfold in. The Museum is just as the name describes, a place where artifacts of the Collective’s century long history are stored and displayed for the viewing pleasure of current villains. Within this collection, villains can find everything from old costumes, weapons, newspaper clippings, as well as the first message Tartarus ever delivered to their members via record.
Early yesterday afternoon, Mx. Pink was completing his weekly cleaning of the room, which included wiping down the plexiglass cases, vacuuming, and dusting nearly every surface within reach. It was as he was cleaning the section of the museum dedicated to the costumes of infamous villains of the 2000s, that he discovered two had gone missing. The first was the costume worn by Deathmask, an infamous fear manipulator whose claim to fame was killing a Guardian with the power of fear alone. Deathmask’s signature mask was reported to have been able to block telepathic powers, which made him invulnerable to those who wished to alter his own mind. The second costume belonged to that of Tempest, a powerful storm wielder and the infamous final victim of the Collective’s own Mimic, prior to his admittance into the agency.
Upon initial inspection of the scene, no evidence was left behind, and the plexiglass displays the costumes were in are completely undamaged. Villains are asked to determine just how the robber was able to get in and out of the manor undetected, as the theft has revealed a massive hole in the security system, and to retrieve the stolen costumes. Once caught, Ms. White has asked the villains to bring the perpetrator to her for further questioning.

The Collective of Supervillainy has a policy regarding murder-for-hires, which is they don’t accept the majority of requests, and there’s only a select few villains they trust to successfully carry out the ones they do. This murder-for-hire request is rather different than most, however. James Weeks is a thirty-one year old tech tycoon, who made his name and substantial wealth through the invention of an app that is popularly used within the esports industry.
While publicly James seems to be living the life of luxury, in reality his financial status is much more dire. According to reports, James is currently being investigated by the IRS- an investigation that must not be going in James’s favor given the request he’s just filed with the agency. In the request, James has requested the assistance of two villains to help him stage his death, so that he can flee the country with what physical assets he has, before the FBI has a chance to arrest him.
Villains have also been asked to help him move what valuables he can from his home, and load it into a secure moving truck prior to carrying out the death hoax. In regards to just how James would like to “die” he has stated the following, “So like I think an explosion or fire would work. Something that wouldn’t leave a body, because there won’t be a body. Unless you guys can provide a body. Can you guys do that?”
