OOAK A Day: Day 8

This is one of the ooak dolls I’ve gotten recently! She also came with a little goodie bag that had a few Mini Mixie Q’s, an adorable little button, and a cute little turtle figure, as well as a lovely drawing of her, which I unfortunately forgot to include in these pics….

Repaint, reroot, outfit: BeautifulParallel

Name: Oculaura ((no last name… can’t think of another pun lol))

Age: 17 

Monster Parent: A Many Eyed Monster ((I could have gone with another god, but I figured that would be repetitive at this point))

Killer Style: Clothes that you can get dirty in! I absolutely love gardening, but a lot of “fashionable” clothing doesn’t vibe well with dirt, so I’d rather wear something that allows me to spend time with plants!

Freaky Flaw: Sometimes my top two eyes look in a different direction from my bottom two, and it’s unnerving to some people. “Eye” can’t figure out why, haha!

Pet: I don’t have any pets, but I do have a few plants! 

Favorite Activity: I don’t just like plants and planting, I also like experimenting with makeup and hair! My favorite makeup trends are usually colorful, like ombre lips and mermaid hair! 

Biggest Pet Peeve: When people think I’m staring at them (when I’m not!). Just because one of my sets of eyes is looking around, doesn’t mean they’re looking at you!

Favorite School Subject: Dragonology and Drama! 

Least Favorite School Subject: Physics…. It’s so hard to do! All that math… even with four eyes, I don’t know where to look first!

Favorite Color: Right now I am absolutely loving pastel colors, so maybe a light yellow or a baby pink?

Favorite Food: “Eye”scream! Just kidding, I love parfaits, especially with strawberry.

BFFs: Eyelene, Iggy Rocks, Nebula, Cyrus Borg

She's honestly a very well-behaved kid, she doesn't like drawing attention to herself. But she loves researching spacey things and may be prone to stay up past her bedtime to secretly read under the blankets...

42, 22 and 9 for Oculaura?

42. Hobbies?

While she has conflicted feelings about her magic, she can’t hide her inner Arcanist haha..she absolutely loves stargazing with her friend Totality c: She also loves Florabrisas gardens. You can often find her walking around them, appreciating the individual flowers c: She’s a fan of Tamarind’s flora journals and sometimes asks him about the species so he can read what he’s written about them to her!

22. Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?

She’s definitely start doodling. Probably outer-spacey stuff and elemental runes and some plants! A lot of her doodles come out quite pretty though she doesn’t really have any art ambitions.

9. Makeup?

OHHH MY GOD can you imagine trying to apply makeup to all of those eyes. so much eyeliner. so much mascara. can you even reach half of those eyes. what a nightmare fasfsdaf

But yeah she does not wear makeup. I don’t think makeups super popular among dragons in general unless they really wanna look fancy. But also she’s 11 and i don’t think 11 year olds should really be wearing makeup anyway sdafdsf

10 facts about Oculaura, go!

Oculaura!! My multigaze child!

1. She is about 11 years old! Just a little girl (who is still bigger than half the lair. Yay imps)

2. I've never decided who exactly, but some members of Florabrisa found her abandoned as a 2-4 year old and took her in.

3. She is intensely magical and sometimes accidentally causes weird things to happen around her.

4. Relatedly, she has caused damage to infrastructure before.

5. Since the clan tends to do communal raising, she never really had a specific parent, mostly just Clash and Antikyra raising her with other adults also stepping in occasionally. But recently, a nocturne named Sonata who also has Arcane Multigaze moved into Florabrisa and she and Oculaura felt an immediate kinship. The adoption papers are in the works.

6. She may be an Imperial, but she has a stronger taste for plants than seafood or meat. Sweetgrass makes for some good munchin c:

7. She doesn't believe in bed time. She often sneaks out with Totality to stargaze, though she actually is more interested in the moon than the stars - she feels she relates to the moon in some intrinsic level, and not just cuz its her primary color haha

8. She really hates magic as she feels its been the root of all the problems in her life and she won't willingly use it. (Sonata however will probably try to help her work through this and better teach her how to reign in her abilities and better control things!)

9. Likely because of her arcane magic, she tends to have a very saccharine smell. Some adults worry its because she's eating too many sweets but that actually is completely unrelated.

10. She sees ALL. (But she closes all her body-eyes when she's taking tests! She is an honest student and would never cheat!)
