[She had been in a long strategy meeting with her current rebel front leaders for District 2 when word of Odair's breakdown came reached her. She adds his name to a mental list. The Mockingjay has been unresponsive. Abernathy is still in detox. Latier can only work three hours a day. And now Odair is possibly useless. She should have seen this coming.]
[It takes her three days until she can fit in the time to see him. His doctors tell her he's made considerable progress, but they have the same hesitance they did when they told her the small pox wasn't going to kill her (and later tell her she would never have children).]
[He is the only one in this medical block, and that suits her just fine. She waves off her guard before turning the corner and entering.]
Finnick?

Why had she let one of her roommates at the Capitol's Academy of Military Sciences drag her to one of these stupid parties on the night of an major exams in military history, she thought as she navigated the party. She noticed a few victors but she couldn't remember who they were or what games since she kind of ignored the games since she was 14 and studying hard to get into CAMS in the first place and while attending ignoring them in favor of studying and training. Her Father wanted her to place the top of her class and if it would please the Head Peacekeeper who was between assignments in the district she would do it.
Yet here she was at a capitol party with one of the girls that didn't come from a peacekeeping family who wanted to give her some more culture since she was a capitol girl who grew up moving from district to district. She watched her friend danced and sipped her drink with a sigh, "I hate pointless parties."
KATNISS YOU LITTLE SHIT.

Remember Me? | Finnick&Glimmer AU
It was just Glimmer’s luck to have her parade rained on, or more specifically set on fire. The worst part of it all, she figured, was that the enhanced saying was all too literal. If only her ridiculously idiotic stylist hadn’t have gotten it in her mind that pink fur and outrageous feathers were the correct look for the two tributes from District One. Her eyes scanned over to Marvel, feeling even worse for him as he had to project himself as vicious and bloodthirsty in something resembling a hot pink nightmare. The more the girl thought about it, the angrier she became. Here she was, looking like the most unflattering cross between a flamingo and a peacock, while the two from District Twelve of all places had upstaged her.
As their chariot pulled back into the compound and had stepped down from it, she quickly pulled the fur covering her shoulders and laid it across her stylist’s arm. The blonde had to try her hardest not to send the woman a scathing look, the sort that could burn holes through someone with its intensity. Instead, she let her eyes scan the room, arms folded across her chest in an almost closed-off manner. Despite her overall irritation and the feeling of disappointment tugging at her insides, she couldn’t help the small smile on her lips as her gaze caught on a familiar face. She had met Finnick Odair a few years before during an event her Victor father had dragged her to within the Capitol. Catching his gaze, she raised a hand to wave at him, wondering if he would recognize her after the time that had passed.
