Tf oc! Nozomi

evidently this time moving has put upon me stress that makes me draw more so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I based him off a bullet train, specifically the “Nozomi 700” my sister rode a few days ago. She tricked me into making him lmao. Pictures of the train:

The red lines on the second photo are his biolights; they’re mostly under his plating on the protoform so you can’t see it. The first photo shows what biolights can be seen usually.

His visor can become opaque when he wants it to, and he usually keeps it dark during missions. His first impression on people is pretty funny at first as they have no idea he actually has a face and suddenly they look over at him and his optics are just. There.

As his plating isn’t very thick nor covers many vital areas weak to attack, he ended up becoming an autobot messenger. He can’t really fight well, maybe scratch and bite (yes he can bite lmao) and all of the basic thrashing. He does have a blaster subspaced and is a pretty good shot, but he usually prefers to run away. Basically if he gets caught he is kind of cooked.

Also I changed up his back kibble last minute, that’s why the back design is inconsistent with the previous photos. I’m not quite sure what that thing on the train is..? The electrical connector thing????? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Nozomi can mean wish/hope/desire depending on the context in Japanese, and I think it kind of ties into his job as a messenger. He is quiet, a listener ; not a yapper. But if you get on the topic of types of energon drinks and confections, he will not shut up. His friends all think he’s weird because he is so particular upon energon types and how to make sweets so they taste perfect but he doesn’t really drink or eat anything besides normal energon.

nobody knows what exactly he was doing before the war happened, he just appeared one day and sort of got taken in like a stray cat.

Ah yes, the infamous shoebill.

I appreciate an odd creature, especially an odd birb.

I like the way it's shaped in this pic. It's like a dinosaur, or better yet, some kind of made up creature from legends.

And that's the beauty of life, it comes in all shapes and sizes, sometimes so unusual they look out of this world.

Even in forms of nightmare muppets ♡.

Altho I heard somewhere that shoebills are apparently kinda mean, which I do not support.
