As the lead concept artist on this cartoonish trivia game project, I was tasked with establishing the visual identity for both characters and environments. The client offered generous creative freedom, allowing me to explore a wide range of playful styles and character archetypes. This early design direction highlights one of several paths I pursued to capture a whimsical, lighthearted tone that would resonate with a broad audience.
This direction was just one of many I explored. It features a cheerful robot mascot rendered in 3D and a series of red pencil sketches showcasing quirky character variations: a dignified feline in a top hat, a clawed crab-like creature, and other whimsically odd figures. My goal was to create characters with instant personality—ones that could delight players before the trivia even began.
This project exemplified my ability to build inviting worlds from the ground up, balancing character charm with gameplay purpose. It was a creatively liberating experience that spotlighted my strengths in stylization, ideation, and world-building.
It’s what I love doing.
