I recently found some magnets to get Izumo's ears to stay on despite the layers of wig and silicone cap. Coupled with the little headband and she's cute as a button!

God help me, Jin needs to be restrung and he needs it badly. The good news is he's one of the two that I've actually taken apart to fiddle with - some hot glue sueding forever ago now.
But it was terrifying and when I took Set apart to tighten his strings a few years ago he stayed in pieces for days because I shortened them too much.
But dammit Jin's too loose to not do it!
I don't even remember how long ago it was that I posted all excited because I had just started this file and I felt inspired because I had sewn something the week before and had ideas!
And then life hit and I took literally forever to finish this up and that all passed me by. Hopefully I'll pull it back out eventually but for now I can at least say I finished this and I still like it. I mean, its not crazy, its very simple, but I've been wanting to get an idea of what I'd put Izumo in if I could and well, I got that I guess.
As a bonus I now have Sai2 which makes me happy.
I haven't drawn much in months, but I have started to feel like it again. Kind of like feeling up to sewing that top for Izumo, it's taken a little bit to get myself in a place that lets me fight with something creative. Thankfully these two things have decided to work together and so I'm thinking about what I'd like to make for Izumo some day. And how I'd like to change her face up eventually. Can't wait to finish these, give them a real color pallette and a pattern on the yukata one.
The fun part is now I really need to make her little magatama beads - I'm kind of looking forward to figuring that out.
Hand sewing everything might take an embarrassing long time but at Izumo's size it just makes more sense most of the time. Either way she has a shirt now that's not borrowed off a Ken doll from years passed. It's not perfect sure, I had meant for it to lay lower - not quite so tight to her neck - but I didn't quite get there. But it works!
There would be no sane way to explain to my neighbors that I just made an absolute racket because, after three weeks, I finally got Kyo's double tail piece magnet out.
He's finally gonna get his tails on right!
I got Kyo standing. He doesn't plop down quite like my dolls with human legs. But look at this photogenic little guy, I wish I had better lighting (or something to actually augment my lighting)... Also generally ignore my apartment, it's in a state.
