React question!! How would the RO's react to an MC who's usually pretty confident and witty getting flustered over little romantic things like hand holding and pet names? 👀

Ariel takes every opportunity to lay out every pet name they know. It’s just teasing, if the MC really didn’t like it they would stop! It’s actually nice to see this other side of them. But... if there’s no resistance, then they probably are taking your hand at random, whispering things so only you can hear (regardless of the content. It might not even be romantic things they’re saying, but the intimacy of whispering into their partner’s ear... well, it’s cute to see how the MC burns over it).

Thorne is dying. Please. It’s not enough that the MC is already so cool in their eyes, but now this? It’s too cute, and when you get embarrassed, they get embarrassed, and before you know it you’re just two blushing messes on the ground. And now they have to look away when they hold your hand, otherwise their heart will probably burst. They probably fumble saying pet names, too. You guys are adorable.

Odette tries not to laugh, no, it’s not funny exactly, well... it is a little bit. You’re getting embarrassed over this? She could do much worse, you know, but you’re nervous about her calling you “dear”? 

Lawrence is sparingly romantic--in the instances where he might utter sweet words, it’s all too likely you two are already alone. When he first realizes he’s caught the MC dropping their typical confidence, he might feel a little prideful, actually. A side of you all his own. Shh...

I want to get to know the ros better. Can you give us some facts? (And, can we ask about the reactions of the ro?) 👀

Some facts, hm? Let me see what I can come up with that isn’t story-relevant... Ariel is a collector! In their home (not at the Academy) they’ve an assortment of glass baubles made by fae artists. They come in various sizes, and their intended use is to store memories of the owner. Ariel has a library of important memories stored away.

Thorne is a masterful baker. They’ve perfected the art of pastry making, and if you ever have the chance, you should definitely persuade them to make something for you(hint: it won’t take much to convince them).

Odette embroiders her own clothes and cloths. Most patterns on her dresses, she’s done herself. You can distinguish her older clothes from newer, because the older ones will have messier, possibly frayed decals threaded into them. She also stitches her name into her clothes, shh.

Lawrence plays the trumpet. Rather well, too. When he was younger, he was suggested to pick up some sort of instrument, and ideally he would have picked a strings instrument which would have been more “becoming” of him. Instead, he chose the trumpet, partly because he wanted to, and mostly because no one else wanted him to.

If you guys ever want to ask for reactions, or anything of that nature, don’t hesitate to send an ask! I don’t mind them in the slightest; I just didn’t particularly expect any until the demo had started being released. Thanks so much for the ask!

Really looking forward to the demo! And to making a certain broody guy smile 👀 Here's my ask! How would you describe each of the romances, in 3 words or less?

What is the point of choice if not to make men who never smile, smile? I really would like to put out the introduction before the year end, but school might not let me get to that point! That said, I will try to see if I can’t put out additional content until the day chapter one is finally up.

Lawrence: I Am Not Looking. Yes I Am. No I Am Not <3 (not 3 words but this is all I could think of)

So I read an ask about your inspiration for the story, what about your inspiration for the characters, if you don't mind me asking?

I don’t mind at all! 

So honestly, a lot of the characters just sort of came with the story. Odette, I think, is the only one who pre-existed from her own, separate story that I dropped back in high school--I like to find homes for my original characters if they’ve lost the place I first created for them. 

Ariel is meant to play a very “hero” counterpart to the Vampire; I’m almost inclined to call them a foil to the Vampire, but that won’t be completely true I guess depending on how you play. But for now, assume that they were written to be your Rival Character.

And if Ariel is your counterpart, Thorne is your adjacent character. That is to say, they’re supposed to be the Best Friend. How you plan on interpreting that in game is totally up to you though. 

Those are the two I guess “archetypes” I felt the story really needed. Grey (a non-romance character) is also a “Best Friend”, but she isn’t your best friend which is why I’m okay using the label twice (lol) Odette and Lawrence are a bit harder to label, because like I said, Odette’s existed for many years now and her personality has undergone very few tweaks (somehow), and Lawrence... well, I felt that a brooding type character is absolutely a necessity. I promise he has more depth than that, but a lot of Lawrence-related content is a bit spoilery. 

Anyway, I’m not sure I really answered this ask now that I’m reading it, but I hope you will accept it!
