What it is.

A preacher and his wife live on a remote island in the Finnish Archipelago during COVID-19 lockdowns. During the summer, the preacher’s old friend comes to stay with them and piques the interest of the preacher’s wife who is going through a period of sexual frustration and boredom.

What rates it.

I found this movie incredibly boring. It was slow and the relationship between the preacher’s friend and his wife seemed so superficial that it was difficult to believe that they would ever hook up. Their hugely inflated egos seemed to get in their own way. I skipped through most of it only to find that the movies conclusion was just what I expected ; they hook up and the husband forgive them because, God.
