If you dont absolutely love Sam Wilson you're just wrong.
Especially if you dont love him for all he is, all of his flaws and good parts equally.

hi.
uhhh so i’m sorry to be so serious on a blog that’s usually fun, but this is a pretty important subject.
celebrities. are. humans. too.
see, there are 2 main types of consent. one is the one that refers to the invasion of someone’s body, the other is the one that refers to the invasion of someone’s personal space. i’ll be referring to the second type in this post.
in situations where there should be the second type of consent involved but there isn’t, it can be uncomfortable or painful for the person who hasn’t consented. unless that person tells you through actions or words that you can do what you want to do, they haven’t consented. no consent = no invasion of personal space.
consent CAN be unspoken, but not consenting can also be unspoken. people don’t have to expressly say “don’t touch me there” for others to know not to touch them there.
it’s not a hard concept to grasp.
but for some reason, this still happened, and continues to happen on a smaller and larger scale:
this is a video of day6’s youngk being touched on his arms and chest -without his consent- by fans who think it is okay to just because he’s a celebrity.
the poor guy is clearly uncomfortable, look at the way he tries to move his arm back after the fans touch it.
luckily, day6’s fans are a lot more gentle and less obsessive than a lot of other fandoms. this sort of stuff happens so often in other fandoms to other celebrities and it’s disgusting and demeaning.
just think, you want to go live your dreams and have a good life and leave your legacy, but you’re constantly swamped with all of these people who are touching parts of you without your consent and are getting away with it.
there are videos of celebrities being surrounded by a sea of fans when they’re trying to walk around in public. they can’t even go across the street without paparazzi taking a picture of them. their lives are never public, they work so hard to be successful and in turn are greeted by this level of disrespect by their fans? do people not see that something here is seriously wrong??!
this video was posted on twitter and the op was proud of the fact that they had touched him, and were excited. good for you, you violated someone’s body and personal space without consent. i am in no way attacking this person, because there were others doing it and i can understand why they might have thought it was okay, but,,, it’s not. and yes, you can be excited, but if you really want to touch them that bad, just buy hi touch tickets???? if you can’t afford them, then just don’t touch the celebrity??? it’s not that hard to not violate someone’s space.
consent is so important you guys. in a concert environment like that, where it’s supposed to be fun, celebrities shouldn’t have to be worrying about people touching them when they don’t want to be touched.
honestly this happens so much in the kpop industry, and i get that people are excited to see their favourites irl but that doesn’t give you the right to invade their privacy and personal space.
just because they’re famous doesn’t mean that they should have to get used to this sort of behaviour from fans. if you’re really a fan, tbh if you’re even just someone who has any respect for yourself and other people, you wouldn’t want celebrities to have to get used to it.
please just don’t do it.
“YOU AMUSE ME“
I won’t tolerate disrespect from anyone and towards anybody, are we clear?
