But basically Jeongguk got Gold from a friend whose dog had puppies and wasn’t able to get all of them adopted. Gold was the runt in the litter and was going to end up in a shelter because he wasn’t able to get adopted in his friend’s care but Jeongguk impulsively adopted Gold because he felt sad for him, the idea of a shelter, and also during the summertime he was having a rough time and connected with the idea that no one wanted Gold
