i took a 3 week break from socials a couple months ago, except for youtube + spotify because i don't use these for endless scrolling or indulging in other people's lifes, and it was actually so good! Now I still choose to block social media for e.g weekdays because it's so distracting and steals all my time, making me have to pull all nighters to meet deadlines etc. It's definitely weird and kinda lonely but somehow I'm much less miserable when i stay off. Now I'm in a kind of identity crisis pertaining to where I get my preferences and character from when I'm not being showered in other people's identities + trends all day long but I think I'll figure it out. It's a good journey, I recommend it! Lol i realize you didn't ask but I saw the Ask Polly post and your tag resonated with me ❣

haha no worries! kudos for putting real effort into quitting ... every time i delete an app to take time off i always redownload it within like two hours :(
