it means he doesn’t really care one way or the other about her, and doesn’t see her as something to either kill or keep.

if he wants to drown u its either as the most convenient murder method next to blunt force trauma or like, idlk, theres only 2 people hes vaguely alluded to drowning that he doesnt hate he just Wants The Thing and dragging it down with him is the easiest way to Get The Thing.
