Olicity Week: Day Six

Day 6 (November 25) - Favorite Parallel(s)

Felicity is jealous after seeing Oliver with Isabel in “Keep Your Enemies Closer” (2x06). Oliver is jealous after seeing Felicity with Ray in “Draw Back Your Bow” (3x07).

I love this scene. I love season 2. I love Summer Glau.

I don’t think Oliver knew what he was going to say to explain, but I would’ve liked to hear it. 

Also Stephen likes to think that Isabel’s hatred for Felicity is partly because she knew that she didn’t have his attention in bed which, HA! Someone please confirm this in canon. 

“So we’re not doing the ‘what happens in Russia stays in Russia.’”

“We’re still in Russia!”

Felicity’s emotions in this episode were perfect. She sees Isabel coming out of his room, she’s hurt. They’re awkwardly sitting in the car and she tries to pick a fight. Then of course the scene at the end when he tells her that he can’t be with someone he could really care about, and she doesn’t skip a beat in telling him that he deserves more than that. (I think she also screamed “THAT’S BULLSHIT!” but that might have been me I don’t know). 

Then season three and Ray Palmer came along.

EW.

And Felicity screamed “Frig you, Ray Palmer!” (Also might have been me I don’t know I don’t remember). Oliver saw this and he looked like a sad puppy and it’s really hurtful that he does that with his face, but then he also screamed “Frig you, Ray Palmer!” just with his fists and not his voice.

Before that though, he saw her on TV with Ray and started smashing an arrow and saying unbelievable and ridiculous things like

Yeah okay, Oliver. Sure.

What’s that? Iron Heights, due to their low security post quake I though it would be a good idea to keep an eye on their internal communication for a while. You hacked into a prison system network? Is that judgement I’m hearing? Pride.
