it takes all of august’s self control to not slam the door on his way in, frustration burning behind his eyes despite his otherwise cool exterior. finding out his coworkers were talking shit about him wasn’t particularly a surprise—but the shamelessness of doing it on their coffee break, august himself standing a mere 10 feet away. daddy’s little lawyer, they snickered over their paper cups. his jaw ticks in annoyance, feeling out of control of his emotions for once. he hates it. “ can’t these people come up with something new ? the nepotism jokes stopped being funny a long time ago. ”
