OCs in general have to work harder than CCs regardless of gender. And that’s cool! I Get that! Other muns don’t have the same frame of reference with an OC than they do w/a CC. But like…yeah, I don’t really feel like men have it that much easier than females.

like personal experience is all i can offer to this and i will say from MINE that all my boy OCs get way more attention than any female ones i’ve ever had. my female ones were just completely ignored and it was disheartening as FUCK.

but ignoring that issue, my main concern is this rise in stories with what feels like senseless amounts of ... idk, thoughtless backgrounds based in abuse/violence against these girls and while YES this are def real issues in the real world the way they typically are presented feels less like a true, sensitive exploration and more like a “and look how fucking edgy she is!” thing

and it’s even more difficult to discern as much IF THERE IS NO HISTORY/BIO/FULLY FLESHED OUT PERSONALITY GIVEN and it makes me so annoyed like yall please.

Harley is not suicidal enough to whisper such sweet words near his ear. Knowing what she does about this hunky Englishman, his personality and mental well being don’t mesh with the idea of him being a morning person. She’s certain he is not.

Prone to lack of sleep, it is one damn lucky day when he can manage getting some.
