—— FRANK CASTLE AESTHETICS / @wholemeasure
inkedblueprints:
There is a plan… To make all of this right.
Indie Michael Scofield Penned By: Liz Est. 10/25/2016
Terminate with Extreme Prejudice
lethallittlespiderx: // Natasha
The mention of guns made her visibly flinch. Bozhe moi if she had real weapons….
That was a thought she didn’t want to entertain. She didn’t trust her own hands let alone putting a gun in them. Of course, right this moment, her hands still shook and she knew her aim wouldn’t be true. Maybe she was better off with a gun.
“Don’t give me one. No matter what,” she whispered. Christ Clint would be down before he knew what happened because he would never expect it from her. Castle had the advantage of being suspicious of everyone.
Even though it pained her to admit it, Castle had a point. And, while not normally a positive perhaps, the fact he wouldn’t hesitate to take her out wasn’t a bad thing. It could come to that. Whatever they had done to her might not be something that could be repaired. The thought didn’t sit well with her. No, she didn’t fear death. But she had always planned to go out on her own terms and this most certainly wasn’t it.
At his prodding she rose to her full height, arms still around her middle as if holding herself together. “Isaiah,” she murmured to herself. God if she had hurt him. If they had hurt him. Eyes closed a moment.
“All right, I’m ready,” she told him finally. Ignoring the look he gave her, she preceded him out of the alley knowing full well he wouldn’t want her behind him. Were the situations reversed she would have felt the same. Hell she didn’t want many people at her back no matter who it was. Loosening her grip on herself, she tried to look casual, as if she belonged. The sun was higher in the sky now and it still felt like needles into her retinas. The nausea was subsiding for now, but it could easily be because there was just nothing left to loose. Natasha still felt shaken, sluggish, her body not quite her own to command.
“How far?” she asked, looking over her shoulder at him. She needed to know Isaiah was all right. More than anything right now, she needed to know that much.
♠ – Bout damn time-- Those were the first thoughts that ran through Frank’s mind. They’d wasted enough time sitting around T R Y I N G to convince Natasha that running around on the loose was a horrible idea. Why everyone always assumed that he had such bad ideas was a mystery. He didn’t-- sure a lot of the times they were a little more violent than some people cared to be involved with but, Frank DID have decent ideas once in a while.
His hotel wasn’t far. The whole point of this mission had been to do recon. He couldn’t do that if he’d been far away from where the ‘ incident ’ occurred. Not all of his special forces training had gone out the window. If anything that was some of what he carried around with him the most. ❝ Not far from here. Up the block, around the corner, at the top of the hotel building. ❞ That wasn’t totally specific but, addresses weren’t something he ever committed to memory. There was no real reason when he wasn’t staying here for long.
Glancing at the woman Frank shook his head. ❝ When’s the last time you slept? I don’t mean when’s the last time you passed out or got knocked out either. I mean slept-- like laid down and slept. ❞ She looked like hell and well, far from a gentleman he wasn’t an idiot either and telling Romanov that she had seen better days after a bender probably wouldn’t have gone over well. ❝ Look, when we get there I want you to call this Isaiah guy and you should probably call Clint. Last thing you need is to have him running around searching for you. ❞ Frank didn’t need him showing up thinking that he was out to hurt her. Right now-- that wasn’t his intention. Of course things could go sideways at a moments notice but, so far, Natasha seemed to be holding herself together, even if just barely.
iamwilsonfisk: // Fisk
Turning his head to one side, the large kingpin postured in an intimidating manner. “I want nothing from you, nor anyone else for that matter. I’m not proud of the things I’ve done, but there will always be some casualties when fighting a war, you would know that. Sometimes we must do things that are regrettable, but necessary for the greater good. If you have an issue with that fact, I suggest you take it up with the US government, not me. Like you, I am merely a product of this societies shortcomings.” Fisk rested a hand against the butt of the gun tucked underneath his belt, his eyes never straying from the punishers. “I would prefer not to kill you, as I said before in prison, you have a unique talent Mr. Castle, an expertise I would much rather have on my side, why not join me? I could provide you a good life, a home, enough money to keep you comfortable for the rest of your life, enough to perhaps start a new family of your own even. All the state would offer you now is a life sentence to rot in jail or death, despite your loyal military services to them, they have shown you nothing but contempt, and you owe them nothing. But I Wilson Fisk, am loyal to those loyal to me, if nothing else, that, I can promise you.”
♠ – A war?? What the hell did this guy know about a god damn war? Scoffing because really that was all he could do Frank stood there, stoic-- his attempt to remain as impassive as possible. Regardless of whether his facial expressions remained as such the stiff, harsh way he held his body made everything quite clear. ‘ This wasn’t where he wanted to be. ‘
Now he’d heard enough-- it was people like this guy that stole his family and NOW he had the nerve to stand there, threaten to take his life all while on the other hand offering up a job, the ability to provide a replacement family for the one he’d lost. The O N E he was PERFECTLY happy with. Well, in the real world that wasn’t the way it worked. In Frank’s world people weren’t expendable. Especially Maria and his kids. No it wasn’t something he was interested in.
❝ Listen I hate to break it you but, I’m not interested. I don’t care what kind of talents you T H I N K I have that you want on your side. I don’t work for anyone. Doesn’t matter how deep your wallet is or what you offer. It’s people like you... N O T the government that made me what I am today. Don’t get your wires crossed buddy. Don’t think you can come around here with your three piece suit and your pretty speech and sell me on the shit your pitching because it just doesn’t work that way. ❞
IMPASSE
heroicheartx: // Diana
His remark was quite insulting, and if the words had not offended then the tone he used most certainly did. Diana’s brows knitted together, hands placed in her sides as she stared him down. Did he truly believe it was a good idea to speak to her like this?
❝ Those? Who are you referring to? ❞ Unimpressed, she took another step or two closer to the man, never taking her gaze off him. Sometimes she wondered why she had been so foolish to get involved with the problems of Man again after that soldier stranded on their home island. And more so, why she had stayed. Especially when this was the sort of respect she received.
❝ If you mean HEROES, then yes. –But then there are never enough of those. Not that I assume you would know a hero when you see one, too blinded by your own thirst for blood. ❞
♠ – It always amazed Frank the things that people A S S U M E D about him. A thirst for blood. If it was only that simple. It was blood yes that drove him to the things he’d done but, hardly a thirst for it and now-- that wasn’t what kept him going. It was merely the thought that what was left if he stopped? He still wouldn’t have Maria or his kids back. He’d done so much, hurt so many and none of that had ever been lost on him. (while so many thought it was) None of that was ever just simply tossed aside and never thought about again. Frank did have a conscience. He simply attempted to ignore it. Things were easier that way. Life was easier that way. He had fewer regrets.
❝ You don’t know a damn thing about me. ❞ The words were cold. Franks eyes looking beyond the woman that was standing in front of him. It didn’t matter that she didn’t know him. She never would. ❝ Believe me I’ve seen plenty of people that call themselves heroes. They tend to disappear when people really need them. ❞
ofconstantine: & @dcviltongued // John & Matt
John rolled his eyes. Oh yeah, this sounded bloody brilliant. Real great scene to be walking more or less unprepared. He crossed his arms and scowled deeply, the vestiges of amusement starting to fade considerably. “Y’givin’ y’self too much bloody credit, Sunshine. Seriously, tho, what’s the score? Y’feel like they’re legit or lookin’ t’fuck a Yank? –Figuratively speakin’ of course.” Couldn’t hide a grin at that last bit, but he did manage not to add some suggestive joke about knowing quite a bit about fucking a Yank these days. It was probably much more clever in his head.
“Matt’s in the loo,” John drawled. “Sortin’ himself f’company an’ prolly listenin’ to ev’ry word ye’ve said.” – Not to mention with quite a bit of disapproval. He’d have a lot to say, no doubt.
@brckencastle @dcviltongued
♠ – Frank had the feeling that this was legit. Not a situation where they were looking to fuck his over. Of course that didn’t always mean anything. There were always those people that liked to try and get the better of him. The better of anyone really and he didn’t want someone that happened to be a fast talker. One that he just happened to N O T be able to keep up with presently that got the better of him. All things considered and still being oblivious or at least playing at it as to what he walked in on Frank merely ignored the quip. The last thing he wanted to do was open himself up to MORE jokes from John who seemed to no matter what never be at a loss for snappy comebacks.
❝ I’m sure he’s heard everything I said. I wasn’t exactly trying to keep it a secret. ❞ The extent he’d have to go to keep something like that from Matt just simply wasn’t worth the effort if he was being honest. ❝ Don’t want to know what he’s gotta do to sort himself out for company... Really that’s none of my business... I just need to know if you’re in... or not? ❞ If he could get an answer before Matt appeared then maybe he wouldn’t have to be lectured for too long. (it wasn’t likely but,Frank could hope) Hey, at least he wasn’t running out to kill anyone right?
cxpt: // Captain Rogers
Over his comms unit he could hear the chatter, he could hear them talking about the locations they’d already searched and where they were moving on to next. Each moment that passed was another moment that they were getting closer to their location. And it was another moment where all of this could easily go south. He couldn’t force Castle’s hand, he couldn’t force him to come with him. The choice had to be his and while Steve had done his research, he also knew enough about soldiers to know that he couldn’t force them. No matter what he said or did there was nothing else for him to do other than give him that option. If Castle wanted to stay out on the streets so be it. “We’re always soldiers. That’s not something they can strip away from us no matter what.” His eyes followed as he walked towards a stairwell and figured that Castle knew others were coming for him. It wasn’t something he would’ve normally done; followed someone down into a stairwell and into an unknown building. There were far too many unknowns and he could’ve easily ended up dead or worse. But if he was going to convince Castle to return with him he’d have to put some form of trust in the other; more than he had already. “My team isn’t the conforming sort. We all come from different walks of life and if we didn’t think you’d fit in I wouldn’t be here.” Hearing the men over his comms he followed the other and slipped into the stairwell. If they couldn’t find them then they’d have a few more moments to actually talk. “There’s a tactical team on the lookout for you. They’ve already checked north of here if you need a place to hide. And I’m sure you’ll find a way of contacting me if you want to talk again.” He just hoped that damn tactical team wouldn’t find him; not when they were offering him a life other than the one he was living.
♠ – Frank couldn’t hear what Steve was listening too. But, he was a soldier once, he knew that the normal back and forth was usually locations and if they were reporting to Steve that probably meant the news wasn’t good for him. He had two choices-- well, three but, the third as much as he said he didn’t care about dying the truth was that he wasn’t ready for that yet. Right now he could give up-- go with this guy and bite that bullet. At least he’d be alive. The rest he could reconcile with himself later. O R he could run-- hope he didn’t get caught and spend the rest of his life or at least the better part of it looking over his shoulder hoping that along with the law these guys hadn’t caught up with him. Truthfully, running was exhausting. He’d done it for so long, just hiding out from the cops was tiresome. ❝ So, I just have one question. ❞ Because before he let the other man walk away-- before Frank had a chance to think on this too long and talk himself out of anything he had to know. ❝ Who’s the brain trust that thought it would be a good idea to see if I wanted in with this team? ❞ Truthfully, they needed to have their head examined. But, that was besides the point. Frank wouldn’t judge, he’d had a run in with a couple of Steve’s people and on their own they weren’t bad. Considering that he was giving Castle a way out of here he could consider Rogers a decent guy too. Of course if he put a bullet in his back the minute he turned around well, then Frank would have to take back all the nice things he was starting to think.
❝ Tell you what... Give me an hour and meet me back here. I just need to go take care of a couple things. Say goodbye to someone and then I think that maybe I’ll be willing to give it a shot. ❞ It was the least he could do and besides he owed it to Maria and the kids to at least try to do SOMETHING decent with his life. They would have wanted that.
lethallittlespiderx: // Natasha
“Pipes are old and solid,” she told him, practically reading his mind. “I followed them most of the way in. They don’t build things like this any more.” No, they went cheaper usually. But the exposed plumbing, duct work and covered electrical had given her a very nice, quiet access. And, should the need arise, she would defend them from the rear. That’s where they would come at them. But she was betting it would take them a while to figure out how she’d gotten in. Hell, they still wouldn’t know who she was. Not yet.
Natasha grinned at him. “Are you getting old on me Frank?” Sure, she could baby him, but he wasn’t the type of man to appreciate that. “I’d offer to kiss all your boo boos, but we don’t have time for that. I’ll gladly sew them up or patch them up once we’re gone from this place if you’d like.” He moved like a man with a broken rib or two. It didn’t matter how tough or bad ass you were. A broken rib was a broken rib and it hurt like a bitch.
Arm raised, she shot a line into the cement wall just above the pipes running above them. “I by passed the sense of adventure. But there are some shiny new guns at the entrance if that will make you feel better.”
With a step back she indicated the line.
“Age before beauty.”
♠ – It was good to know that she’d paid attention to the building along the way. Natasha was always good for that. Keeping an eye on the things around her. Not just the people but, the surroundings. That stuff came in handy. ❝ I’m not getting old Romanov. I’ve been that way for a long time. Each time I get the shit kicked out of me I’m just reminded more and more. ❞ Not that he would complain. Frank didn’t have that in him. The only thing he had to remember was not to twist too much. A broken rib moving too far out of place could puncture a lung and that would only end badly. ❝ Hey it’s good to know that I’ve got someone to patch me up. Got a feeling that I’m going to need more than one person to patch me up this time. ❞
Guns--- now that was more his language. Frank raised a brow at that. If they were on the way out it wouldn’t hurt to stop and take a look. Maybe pick a few up. ❝ Just because they were shiny doesn’t mean they were any good Natasha. I’m not some kind of raccoon. ❞
Taking a step forward Frank huffed a small laugh. She was hilarious, a real comedian. ❝ You’re so funny. ❞

LITTLE MUSE FACTS
tagged by: @justxe
instructions: fill out the questions about your muse, repost, and tag as many people as you want.
× what does your muse smell like? Gunpowder, blood (there’s always a hint of iron that never quite washes away) and soap. Frank regardless of where he’s at always manages to find the same soap that he always used at home. It’s the one thing that he can’t bring himself to change and it’s something that reminds him of why he’s doing all of this. When he takes a shower he can close his eyes and if he’s tired enough, worn down and just not quite sore enough he can almost forget what he’s been up to and think about Maria, hear the kids running through the house regardless of where he’s at. × how often does your muse bathe/shower? any habits? Frank used to be very clean. He used to shower daily. It was something that he did as a way to get time for himself. With two young kids running around the house sometimes that was the only time that he would have alone. Now, he showers whenever he can. Sometimes he wishes that he could do so more often. As far as habits the only thing that has become a habit now is that he turns the water up as hot as it can be. He tries to wash away all the blood, sweat, dirt and sometimes he thinks that if he scrubs enough he can even wash away memories. × does your muse have any tattoos or piercings? No piercings but, he’s got one tattoo on his forearm. × any body movement quirks? (e.g. knee shakes?) Frank has a mild limp from his foot injury but, other than that he doesn’t have any. × what do they sleep in? Boxers × what’s their favourite piece of clothing? Tshirt, Black jacket and jeans × what do they do when they wake up? Clothes. Frank’s not really a stickler about fashion. × how do they sleep? position? On his back × what do their hands feel like? They’re strong and calloused. × if you kissed them, what would they usually taste like? coffee

~ working on replies. I am going to drop the threads that haven’t been replied to since I’ve been gone. Life has been super hectic and I know I’ve been very sporadic over here. That’s what happens when you’re having your roof torn off along with the bathroom ripped out. Needless to say-- I’m queuing replies.

~ holy hell when it rains. okay I’ll be back wednesday. I have been dealing with house issues that have made getting online and doing things next to impossible. I want to be able to sit down and devote time to replies and give you guys what you deserve so needless to say it’s going to have to be after the following to days which is when I work. I apologize for the delay but, I assure you that I’m not screwing around. I really have been losing my mind having things done around here. FORGIVE ME. Don’t leave me. I miss you all.
ofconstantine: // John
John chuckled a bit at that observation. “Well – Never been much bout the telly and it’s not as though Matt has much use f’it, tho I suppose he’d get somethin’ out the local news” John shrugged modestly. However the truth was behind the middle class accent and street slang was an highly intelligent mind. He’d dropped out of secondary school and never gone to university, not that he’d ever been a good student. All the teachers always said the same thing. ‘John is extraordinarily smart but has no interest in applying himself to his studies.’ Little did they know, he was far more invested in studying ritual magic and history, the preternatural, psychology, and sociology. When he wasn’t running wild in the streets and learning how easy it was to manipulate people.
He wondered why Frank didn’t, just once, stay in and do just that, have a lager and watch American football. It was a rather dozy thing, though, considering that cycle of self-abuse again. He knew it well enough. After Kit left he had embarked on his own downward spiral. It wasn’t pity that left him not asking the obvious questions or even to suggest maybe he ought to, but knowing to some degree where Frank was living right now. After all the trauma of that time culminating in the one person that had made it brighter warmer, no matter how dark the days became, walking out of his life he hadn’t believed that life was worth living. He may not have become a mass murderer, but he could relate to the mind becoming a finger trap.
“Don’t really need t’read a book more ‘an once. I got an ah, eidetic memory, but I find second readings relaxin’. Sometimes I come t’diff’rent conclusions or revelations, that sort of thing.”
♠ – Reading was never one of those things that Frank really ever found much interest in. Sure before he used to read the paper and books to his kids but, beyond that he never really found much need to spend his time with his nose in a book. Oh, sure he could see the appeal but, it just wasn’t him. Not something that he had time to do anymore anyways. ❝ Must be nice. Being able to remember things like that. I mean I’m just thinking I can remember pictures, the layouts of buildings and that kind of things. ❞ Which came in handy for Frank but, what John was talking about that was a special talent that he didn’t hold.
❝ Honestly, I’m not surprised that Matt has all these books. I’m sure he’s figured out some way to con someone to read them to him at one time or another. ❞ The law books were clearly NOT John’s and while Frank didn’t have a clue what exactly blew the guy’s skirt up when it came to reading material Frank was pretty sure that dry law books weren’t it.
Frank could remember when Maria would read her romance novels. The ones that she always picked up while she was at the grocery store. He never understood why she bothered reading them. They always seemed so boring to him but, they always made her seem so happy. ❝ Maria used to read a lot. ❞ Before he realized what he’d said Frank spoke her name. Quickly he closed his eyes. ❝ That coffee done yet? ❞
ofconstantine: & @dcviltongued // John & Matt
He canted his head and was trying damned hard not to look at the man like he had just sprouted an extra head. As it was he was biting his tongue on the truth. Honestly, the man had been married, and it shouldn’t have been a big mystery to him ‘what the hell was going on.’ Hmm – You ring up the blokes you know have shacked up, are definitely more an’ mates, and both their mobiles are off. Sure maybe, given their dangerous lifestyles, it could be worrisome, but more mundane explanations should have given him an hour’s pause. John rolled his eyes, maybe he was far too biased coming fresh out their aborted encounter.
His story proved almost worth the interruption and it was rather hysterical to hear him tell it. Sounded like he’d landed straight in the middle of a bloody Guy Ritchie film. John couldn’t help but laugh at his plight as he backed out the doorway and into the foyer, wordlessly inviting Frank in.
“Y’poor bastard,” John chuckled roughly. “Right – So y’understand these punters’ll prolly know who I am. Sure y’want me reputation followin’ ye?”
@brckencastle @dcviltongued
♠ – Frank walked into the apartment silently. He wasn’t as blissfully ignorant as he played but, it just made things a hell of a lot easier. Besides if he acted like he had no clue what was going on then there was the chance that John wouldn’t give him hell. (not that he couldn’t take it but, it just avoided a hell of a lot of trouble) ❝ I’m not saying I want your reputation following me around. Believe me I’ve got enough of one of those following me around... BUT-- I am saying that it would be nice to have someone around so that I don’t get a hard time. This isn’t my first rodeo. I know how this goes. ❞
Glancing around the apartment Frank looked back at John. ❝ Where’s Matt? ❞ He wouldn’t be happy about the idea of Castle dragging John around with him but, the fact of the matter was that it was probably better than something bad happening because he didn’t keep his mouth shut because Frank was Frank.
