It was him. It... had to be. 

After all this time. All this searching. 

It had been three years since Kirk’s Enterprise had first encountered a strange world, so very much like his own, but so very... different. So very cruel. 

Jim had met many members of the crew of the I.S.S. Enterprise during his brief tenure as Captain of the ship. But he’d never met the real James Tiberius Kirk, Captain of the I.S.S. Enterprise. 

There was no mistaking the man before him. 

“You. You’re... you.”

“Jim! Is that you?!” Tilly called as she spotted her friend in the corridor. Once she was sure it was indeed him, she ran over. “Oh my god! It’s been so long! How’re you doing? Scuttlebutt says you’re a lieutenant now! Congratulations on the promotion! -Should I call you Lieutenant Jim? I mean, Lieutenant- what’s your last name again?”

“ it’s good to see you again, jim. ” he beams and perhaps it’s a little forward but he did and seeing him again brings all sort of nostalgic feelings. and feelings in general.
