In your behind the codes project has springtrap ever tried to fixed himself (basically try to repair all the holes and replace all the missing parts of his body) and perhaps upgrade himself.
BTC Springtrap is against repairing himself. It's part of his decaying nature, and it doesn't particularly bother him anyway. He probably thinks it helps making him seem more intimidating, in the sense of "I've been here for quite some time, as you can see, and I know things you don't". There were some cases in which individuals underestimated him because of his damaged and rusty appearance.
Same goes for the missing parts of his body. He doesn't care much for a missing finger or a missing ear.
The mechanical arm is another story. He feels uncomfortable after using it for a long time (there's nothing wrong with the arm. In fact, he applies too much pressure on his shoulder while working). Sometimes, he takes it off before going to sleep. The arm you see now on his design is the last upgraded version of it.
