I gotta say, the only change I don't like in the Off Campus show is the changes they're making to Allie's character - they're making her soo much more annoying in the show. In the books, she never demands a non-monogamy sex "assignment" and she is totally fine with her and Dean being exclusive even while they're just a fling. And she definitely doesn't have any stupid lines like (paraphrasing) "I'm a girl, of course I never know how I'm feeling". End rant - otherwise, I'm loving the show!!

okay I just inhaled The Deal (Off-Campus #1) and I feel even more strongly that the tv show Season 1 is a really strong adaptation! Any changes made were well done, and I think the differences in the book versus the show all make sense in their own contexts.

The main change I've heard people talk about is the hands-off law that Garrett imposes in the book - I expected to hate it and find it really cringey early-2000s bs, BUT it makes sense in the book!! And in the show, it makes sense why they changed it given how they approached Hannah and Garrett's traumas differently than the book. TLDR: I have greatly enjoyed both the book and the show, and will be continuing to enjoy the rest of the book series and future seasons :)
