The scent of sizzling meat, popping in pan over a stove. There is nothing as classical or as nostalgic. Also a glorious smell to wake up to after a long night spent mostly awake and with good company. Still he was terribly reluctant to get out of bed. Sheets were pleasantly warm and cool in the right places, the pillows cushioned his head at just the right angle.

It was, by a good margin, in the top 3 of "best mornings ever"

His only regret is that he'd have to get up.
