Svsss au where Shen Jiu starts seeing this cat everywhere. It's black and has these eyes that are fully green—no pupils. It guides him through life and has never let him down. He started seeing it at the Qiu manor and he finds all sort of useful hiding spots, quiet areas, food spots, and secret passageways. It disappears one day, and Shen Jiu figures that's it, and he's on his own.

The years go by and the day Shen Jiu is about to snap he sees the cat again, it looks at him and rubs up against his leg. 'One more day' it seems to say, and Shen Jiu finds himself gritting his teeth but following its word anyway—for it had never lead him astray.

The next day Yue Qi comes down the mountain, sword in hand as he demands Shen Jiu's contract. The Qiu household didn't dare to touch a disciple of CQMS—even a young one, what else could they do but comply?

When Yue Qi and Shen Jiu have their reunion, they talk about a few things. Yue Qi says that he's sorry for taking so long, admitting that he'd rushed. He says something peculiar—about a cat visiting him while he was confined and recovering. Shen Jiu perks up at this, wondering if that's where the cat had disappeared to. He opts to tell his own stories when they're back at the sect. As he leaves Shen Jiu gets a glimpse of the cat, sitting at the base of a thin tree. It meows at them, and Shen Jiu swears he saw something blue and square flying near its tail—but the cat gets up and leaves before he can do anything, disappearing behind a tree like it'd never existed at all.

Shen Yuan walks cheerfully, his tail high in the air as the system dings with another notification. [ Bad ending avoided! Congratulations for user 002 for completing the mission perfectly! You have a performance rating of: A! Rating went down one grade because the character Shen Jiu has questioned your identity! ]

Shen Yuan couldn't find it in him to care. He'd been given a near impossible mission by the "Bad ending breaking system", forced to help two people at once while only having the body of a cat was too much. Still, he was glad that he was able to help the two reunite! Hopefully neither of them would reach the end that the system showed him.

Typed out this one as a goodnight post, so it's really not my best xdd
