If you get an error message when trying to open Sharepoint 2007 documents in Office 2010 clients like the following: "Could not open x…" Here is how to resolve it: In Internet Explorer, Go to Tools -> Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings and uncheck automatically detect settings.
