We had some straight out of the 80’s office doors with glass panels that were in desperate need of a door makeover. Just like that a diy project was born. The doors themselves are solid oak on the outside so originally I was just going to knock out the glass panels and remake something solid in their place. My wife came up with this alternate plan and I think it was a great idea and considerably easier. I cut out 1/4” utility plywood that we attached to the glass panels with liquid nails. Once that was dry and in place (by weighing it down with anything and everything we could find 😳) my wife caulked around the edges and painted everything white. It is a complete face lift for this little corner of the house and very easy to do for a little up cycle weekend project.
