How to list multiple relationships on Facebook (as best you can)

While Facebook only allows you to list one status or relationship in the "relationship" section, it does have a Family section, which allows you to add as many or as few relationships as you want. Someone cannot be in both the relationship AND the family section. While Husband/Wife/Partner used to be included in the Family section, when they moved to the relationship section, Facebook just hid them in the Family section (but left the codes there for those who haven't updated it) Side note: some of the steps in this are similar to ways people might try to hack your account - I'm not doing that, but just know that I know these are a little sketchy. How to do this in Chrome: 1)  Open "Family And Relationships"     

1a - Go to your profile   

1b - Go to "About"   

1c - Go to Family and Relationships

2)  Click "Add a Family Member"

3) Type the name of one of your partners

4) Right click on "Choose a relationship"

5) Click "Inspect" 

6) Click the right facing arrow on the highlighted section (begins with select class), turning it down

7) Check to see if a bunch of lines appear, and the first one is the following:<option value="0">Choose Relationship:</option>

8) Doubleclick the 0 - enter the number you want from the list below

9) Highlight the "Choose Relationship:" section, and type the title associated with the number

10) Close the developer tool with the "x" in the top right of the tool

11) Press Save Changes, even though "Choose a relationship" will still appear.

12) Get your partner to confirm the relevant status

Please note - step 9 may be optional, may be required, or may explicitly not be required.  It seems to change with FB updates.  Similarly, the parentheticals following Partner may or may not be required.  It might take a try or two, because we're trying to do something Facebook doesn't want you to do.  Until we can easily list our partners, this will have to do!

List of options: 163 - Husband 164 - Wife 223 - Partner (female) 224 - Partner (male) 240 - Family Member 241 - Partner (gender neutral) Then, decide if you want a partner or not in the relationship section, which will display more prominently.  Great for hierarchy, not as useful with non-hierarchical.  Currently, I have mine listed as “married” without a partner listed, then my “husband” and “Partner” in family.

How I know it's right. #1

I quite like to look back on past relationships and think about where it went wrong, why it wasn't right. This may sound like I'm trying to depress myself but it's quite the opposite. I like to fully understand things, analyse such things, plan strategically to make sure things don't go wrong in the future.

There's been a re-occurring theme in the past as to where it's gone wrong. I've never actively asked to be officially dating with someone. As soon as the other party bring up the "o" word it makes me instantly dig my heels in. My mouth says yes, my heart says no no no no. I've been too much of a softy and thought "eh, lets try, maybe it's going to work".

It never does, cause I'm questioning it from Day 1. With you it's all been different. From the start I've even been waiting for you to hint at making it official between the two of us, ready to plant my heels all over again.

But you never did. You waited until the time was right for not just me, but for you. In fact for a first time ever in my life I believe it was me who brought this up, and you snapped my hand off at the thought.

It finally became official

I feel no fear and saying yes came natural to me.  I felt no hesitation or any bad gut instincts which usually show up at times like these.  I can honestly say this feels comfortable and proper.  It's official with the boy who loves me unconditionally and I could not be any happier than I feel.
