Hi! This is the Anon who asked how to see out of the animatronic's eyes. Since you wanted to know who I'm making (or rather planning to make): it's Springtrap, since he's my favourite. Now I've seen your amazing video where you show the head mechanism and I've wanted to ask if you keep the mouth open and just look out of the mouth, like you did with Foxy, or if you use the strategy you recommended to me.
Cool! The more terrifying bunny robots, the merrier :D
The template for the Springtrap mask Iâm building is directly modified from Foxyâs, so all the mechanics are roughly the same. Springtrapâs jaw will also be moveable; the wearer will be able to open or close the mouth depending on how much of a viewing window they need.
It might be possible to fit a head further up into the mask, but youâd have to be more careful about where you positioned the servos (if youâre using them). And if youâre not using servos, the whole mechanical foamcore structure isnât really necessary. You could make the whole thing out of upholstery foam.
And actually, since youâre building Springtrap--it might be cool to have the wearerâs eyes directly behind the animatronicâs eyes:Â from the screenshots it looks more like a metallic shell in front of a pair of âhumanâ (undead?) eyeballs inside...
Iâm doing it my way because I already have the template and everything mostly done, but itâs just one option of many :)
