also. also. obviously the novels physically couldnt have been inspired by or affected by the anime* at all but i think its nice that they have the level of separation that they do writing wise and whatever bc honestly going back and forth between the writing points in one vs the other helps a lot in understanding what exactly both were really intended to say and to be about.
#blook says things#SR posting#*iirc there was Supposed to be another novel thats like. online. but its clearly just an exact rewrite of the 3rd to include more#compliance to the animeverse lore which is like. its interesting but it also just felt so.. underwhelming. n somehow i want to doubt its#officiality#which is to say if it is legit then Technically the anime has influenced the novels and i couldnt say 100% it hasnt but yk#i think in simplest terms you can tell the novels intended to have a more specific theme(s) about hunter and his struggles and lots of grand#ideas about the presence/power or lack thereof of fate in peoples lives#but the anime just really wanted to be a shonen AGDHFJGBDGS#it feels like while there are good messages within the plot that does still do plenty to focus on hunter as he learns the way of the world#its much less of an uphill battle and the emphasis is on everyone as a whole and forming bonds with people#and ultimately just. being able to show kindness and compassion to others even when it is difficult#tho it also has less emphasis until closer to the end of the show#and the Real emphasis then turns to the characters and establishing the world at hand until its time to fit the Ideas in there#but this is more than ok bc we got animeverse aqune out of it <3 love her so much
