(recent chapters spoiler warning) thoughts on the new sun god / gear fifth plotline!!

putting it under a cut just in case!

hmmm to be honest at first i didn't really care for it and didn't see the hype (even now i'm still not super duper hyped like everyone else seems to be). once i read the chapter after the reveal though, it did start to grow on me! i think it's a fun power up :)

still kind of unsure what this means for the themes/story telling aspect though. since it's an awakening luffy definitely had to put in the work to unlock it, but it feels a little overshadowed when he's a mythical sun god

probably a slice of life? i really like that sort of genre and directions are something i need in my life right now

i think wonder egg priority is a really good show although the ending was a little bit lackluster and too open ended for me, the premise was really good
