Janet has a full-head of true blue surfer hair. Sun-bleached, dry and brittle, and with three million fly aways. Girl needs deep hair treatments.
She has a cat named Koray who loves the water as much as she does. He was notorious in the household for turning on faucets while everyone is gone, forcing them to cat-proof their faucets to that only people with thumbs can use them. Now he just meows persistently until someone turns one on.
Born and raised in California, USA, but now lives in Nagoya.
Has a fondness for baggie, unrestrictive clothing. Especially hoodies.
If she played Love Live, her favorite girls would be You and Rin.
She grew up loving mermaids, and her seven year old self even doodled what she’d look like as a mermaid...she’d be half shark.
Yes. She loves sharks, and aquariums.
Before becoming an athlete, she wanted to be a marine biologist.
She’ll sometimes purposely speak Japanese in a thick, American accent. Or pretend she doesn’t know much Japanese at all.
I say pretend because she’s known to speak Japanese for just about her entire life. She’s hafu, with her mother being from Japan.
Her dad remains in California and has Italian heritage through his mom’s side. He’s quarter and Janet’s 1/8th.
She’s an only child. A “surprise.”
Janet’s 100000% a daddy’s girl and learned to surf (not windsurf) from him.
He also taught her how to play poker, texas holdem, blackjack, and go fish. She’s really good at it, but they both got in trouble when she taught it to kids at school.
Her favorite fictional genres to read are mystery and really trashy romances.
The interest in romance novels is mostly because she finds them funny as shit. Such entertaining writers should be supported and so she does.
Janet’s a major health and fitness nut. Keeps to a strict exercise routine and is very careful about what she eats to keep her athletic preference at its peak.
That said, her weakness is coffee. Especially iced coffee.
Her least favorite season is winter. She hates snow.
If she could visit any place in the world, she’d want to go see the Great Barrier Reef.
She hopes to one day own her own sailing vessel and travel the world.
If she could stand the idea of tolerating authority figures and being told what to do, she’d have a future in the coast guard, especially as a drill sergeant.
But for now, her focus is on the Olympics.
Her favorite Disney princess is Merida. She relates to her a lot.
It should go without saying that her best subjects in school are gym and English, but she’s surprisingly good at biology (but her mun is not).
She knows a very teeny-tiny amount of Italian. She understands more than she can speak, and she can speak some basic conversational scripts. “hello” “how are you” “where is the bathroom”
Janet looks very mature for her age, often being confused for a college student than someone still in high school.
Probably doesn’t help that she has a very heavy tan from the sun.
She has a clear distaste for her mom’s side of the family, which unfortunately lead to a great distaste of Japan itself.
Her favorite dessert is tiramisu.
When she’s not out surfing or running, she’s working on some kind of knotwork project. Decorative knots and knotwork accessories are her JAM.
She has like three million graphic tees with designs and logos from all kinds of beaches and aquariums. Including these.
Janet is a disgrace to teenagers everywhere. What high schooler willingly gets up at 5 o’dark AM? And to go running no less.
She likes radishes and oranges. Don’t ask me why, I’m just filling in this last slot with whatever the fuck I can think of.
