Getting Hazel to agree to meeting with her turned out to be a much simpler task than Mona had originally anticipated, and if she’d known that all it would take was a simple text, she would’ve done it sooner. After quickly making sure that there weren’t any signs of Marlon’s possessions anywhere around the apartment, Mona fixed two glasses of water and placed them on the coffee table in front of the couch - they had a lot to discuss, so the water seemed kind of necessary. Unsure of what else to do in preparation, she took a seat on the couch and waited for the door to open.
