CHAD  KNEW  HE  DROPPED  IT  ON  THE  FLOOR  as  he  rushed  downstairs  to  let  the  pizza  guy  in.  the  intercom   was  broken  so  of  course  he  &  belle  had  to  watch  from  the  window  of   the  LA  apartment  to  see  the  car  pull  up  to  the  building.   it  was  agreed  chad  would  go  down  &  get  him  as  he  had  more  practical  shoes.   

it  was  just  the  two  of  them  tonight,  luca  was  in  italy  for  two  weeks  visiting  some  old  friends ,  if  not  for  being  swamped  with  a  million  projects  at  work,  chad  would  have  accompanied  his   fiancé.   it  didn’t  matter  much  to  him  though,  it  gave  him  &  belle  a  chance  to  have  sleepovers  like  they  used   to  in  in  their  early  twenties.    he   picked  his  wallet  off  the  floor  when  he  returned,  rather  ashamed  he  couldn’t  pay  the  guy  right  at  the  door.  -----  its  not  long   after  they  have  eaten   before  he  notices  a  change  in  the  air,  even  after  the  end  credits   of  sex  in  the  city  are  rolling.    chad  places  his  wine  glass  down  &  shifts  on  the  couch  moving  to  cross  his  legs  facing  belle.     ❛   you  look  a  little  tense.  whats  up  ?    ❜
