Llewyn didn’t know what the kriff had happened, but somehow his (stolen) yacht starship had run out of fuel and he was seat for a landing on some sandy-looking planet in the Western Reaches. Jakku, it was called. So its name was about as bleak as it looked. Fantastic.
Why couldn’t be pay a little more attention to these things?
He was barely able to secure a landing outside of a small settlement before the fuel tank was completely empty. He sat in his seat for some time, muttering curses to himself before he finally got up and equipped himself with his bag. He didn’t have much to take with him--a few rations that he could survive on for a few days, some water, a little money, and his lute. He hoped it would be enough to get him to a proper fueling station elsewhere, but after being through this numerous times, he knew there was never a guarantee.
If there was some kind of God, Llewyn was praying that they’d be on his side for once in his life, and that he’d at least find another human being who’d be willing to help.
As soon as he stepped off the ship, he knew this was probably going to be hell. There was sand all around and it all looked the same... But in the distance, not ridiculously far from his current position, was the settlement he had seen upon his descent. Might not be a bad place to check. Yet all around, he noticed that the desert was spotted with what seemed like remains of Imperial walkers, Star Destroyers, and other such starfighters. This piqued his curiosity more than the settlement, so he began his way over to the closest thing to him. Besides, there could be some leftover fuel he could scavenge from one of the ships.
Llewyn came upon an AT-AT walker, half buried under some sand and worn beyond repair. There had clearly been some kind of battle here a long time ago, but someone was apparently still making use of this walker. He saw a figure sitting on top of it as he approached, someone slight and small but strong enough to have climbed to the top of it and sit. Great. Any kind of interaction was something he dreaded most, but he supposed it was just about the only thing that would save him in the current situation.
“ Hey, ” Llewyn called as he came a bit closer, close enough to realize that this person was a young woman. He could tell by the gentle curve of her body and the way that she was sitting. And that cute little hair style kind of helped, too. “ I come in peace. ” He held his hands up and flashed some semblance of a smile before continuing, “ I’m outta fuel. Know where I can get some? ”
