&&                       it is not so very often she makes her way into  RIFTEN  dressed as she is now -- armours laced tightly to her person, layered over with the heavy pelts of white & grey. much more beast than woman, dressed to show STATUS -- to show the insignia of military. of her livelihood ( which she despised & ripped at with her teeth even when fitted into their colours... ) --------- as a passerby should slink near her shoulder, the soldier cants her head to the side, posture terribly tall -- a short g r e e t i n g on her tongue, for she may have been on duty, though it did not ruin her innate sense of manners. --------  ❝ good evening... ❞

         HE’S FAR AWAY from Riften, somewhere clear on the other end of Skyrim. Dawnstar’s weather he hates the most —— most northerly chill BITES at his skin relentlessly. But that’s not the only reason he’s thankful for the cover; that hood shields his face as he TURNS it away from one particular person standing near the town’s inn. If he were dead, perhaps she could even be called his MURDERER —— but she’s not his murderer: his usurper, but not his murderer. Perhaps she won’t recognize him; the cloak is DIFFERENT than his former armor, the home he had found himself nestled safely for so many years.

         AND HE SPOTS her and registers her before he can take another step, and in the next one does he freeze, tap the bottoms of his LIGHTLY-covered feet upon the ground, narrow his eyes and grit his teeth and nearly hiss.      SHIVERS CRAWL in noticeable trills along ashen skin, prickling sensibility of wards and wants. A halting motion and body goes still, ever so and ever wanting, just for the slightest bit of movement. This city, this town -- awash against the lake beyond and crawling with wretched rats beneath the waterways ; she should have known better than to keep pouch and coin so open against her hip. Shoulders drop and body winds, arm striking back to grab at the interloper who pegged her so easily as a mark ( rightfully so, a damnation of personal stupidity truly -- she cannot fault that which takes advantage, merely curtail the behavior ) and fingers bind and grasp against a lithe wrist, yanking back. Hair of sunflower shade and face of demur tendencies, the she-elf snarls at the possible culprit.
