   it’s not what she’s used to. it’s too delicate. she doesn’t have the control to carefully unlock a door. she’s a wrecking ball when what they need is a bolt cutter. although even that sounds like something too close to being useful. asking her to do this is more akin to dropping a nuke on a padlock and hoping whatever you wanted in the first place is unbelievably resistant.Â
  but it’s practice and that’s the key. or she is. metal meets metal, there’s a ding in the background that lingers in her ear, in her head. eyes flutter closed as she tries to envision the barrels and tumblers of the lock doing what she wants them to. it’s no great surprise when it doesn’t happen the way she wants it to. the padlock detonates, exploding into metallic debris that falls harmlessly to the ground. it’s not ideal, but the door is open and the structural integrity of the building remains intact. she’ll take the win where she can get it.Â
