@ofmatrimony gets a hella sad starter
Kitty couldn’t barely remember the journey. In fact, she could barely remember anything that happened afterwards. Everything was such a blur, she probably couldn’t remember if she tried. Not that she wanted to.
It was obvious that she was skinnier than before, which told her that she had not been eating very well but she found it very hard to care about such a trivial thing. She found it hard to care about anything at all lately. Nothing mattered anymore. Everything she cared for was gone. Had been ripped away from her like it was nothing at all.
The coachman had to shake Kitty to get her attention, alerting her that they had arrived at her destination. She had never thought she’d be coming back to Longbourn except for short visits. When getting out of the carriage, she noticed her mother coming out and the closer she got, the more tears started to well up. She threw herself into her mother’s arms and started crying like a child, holding her tightly as she could no longer hold back the overwhelming sorrow inside of her.
“H-He is dead! T-Thomas is dead!” She sobbed, “H-He’s g-gone, he’s r-really gone!”
