‟ Where do I put my hand again? ”
He BLINKED at her a few times, sure that his hand needed to go somewhere other than where it currently was, but entirely unsure of exactly how close he needed to be to his partner. It wasn’t as though he COULDN’T dance; music was an important part of the culture on board a pirate ship and, like anyone who was a little intoxicated, he fancied that he could twirl and even dance a pirate jig in time with the guitar or instrument playing, but the traditional dances that Jane was used to were completely FOREIGN to him -- and he wanted to get them right for her sake.
As much as she was trying to adapt to HIS lifestyle, Jack also wanted to attempt to learn about hers, and one common interest he was sure they shared was that of MUSIC. Tilting his head to the side, he flashed his wife a somewhat SHEEPISH grin.
‟ I’ll get the hang of it, luv. I’m a QUICK learner. ”

Dearest wife,
I hope that your visit to England is proving all that you imagined it to be during those agonising weeks before our arrival – and again, I apologise that it all took so long, love. Unfortunately when one lives on this side of the law, one must be mindful for unfortunate circumstances that make traversing the Atlantic Ocean an impossibility if one hopes to keep their head on their shoulders. And then there’s the small matter of the weather – for being the fastest ship in the Caribbean, regrettably the Black Pearl is still at the mercy of the elements – but I am glad we made it and you have the chance to see your family after all this time. Do pass my regards onto your sisters from me: I hope they are well and close to marrying or whatever it is they ought to be doing with their lives. I would say the same of your mother but I fear she wouldn’t want to hear anything from me after our last meeting, and I for one cannot blame her for it ( it isn’t everyday that your daughter comes home with a pirate, is it? ).
I haven’t forgotten you, darling. Winters in the Caribbean are completely unlike those in England, I’m sure, and I know that I am much better suited to a more temperate climate than any place where snow can fall from the sky. Not that I have anything against snow… I’m sure it’s pleasant enough, and if you do fall victim to any of it this winter, do enlighten me as to what I’m missing, but I couldn’t imagine being exposed to the cold for that long.
Enjoy the safety and peace of the next weeks, Jane; away from the chaos that a life with me entails.
Yours affectionately,
Jack

I’m taking a shot here! Lemme know if you like it. Ingrid Michaelson is A+ I saw her live this summer!

This is a great question because I don’t know if I’ve ever sat down and thought about this in any great depth. Lizzy is so important to me as a person, I just try to write her as accurately as I can. I’m going to give this my best shot, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on what makes my Lizzy different from others!
I actually don’t follow other Elizabeth Bennet blogs, so I haven’t really even read how other people write her. I tend to try to keep up the façade I feel like she puts on a lot in the book about everything being a game or a joke ( like basically she takes an uncomfortable situation, and makes a clever comeback or comment about it I guess is what I’m saying to cover up how she really feels about it ) Idk if that makes sense, but I try to do that a lot and if I’m in a thread that does delve into deeper conversations, I like trying to hint at things without outright saying them. Speech and the manner in which 1800′s characters speak is so important, so I hope to give that heir of formality in my writing. It’s almost as if the speaker removes themselves from everything a little bit, takes a step back, and doesn’t truly show their complete emotions/thoughts/feelings.
Her wit is my favorite thing in the world, so I feel like I tend to try to play that up.

“Whatever you do, Jane, do not make eye contact with Mr. Collins. Knowing him, he would certainly misconstrue such a look to mean you wish to dance with him for the entirety of the evening...”
“ What is it? ”
There was a faint hint of apprehension in Lizzy’s features as she observed her sister. Something was going on. Immediately, her mind jumped to the worst conclusion, but she comforted herself in knowing that if it were something truly abhorrent, Jane would have been forthright with the information. She was never one to adequately hide bad news. But then... what could it be?

‽ - Something your muse has problems understanding
I think this stems more from how stubborn he can be, but (I’m mainly talking about those in his inner circle and know about Batman/knows something is up) when there’s someone can’t understand when he’s got a way to solve the problem and he feels as if he can do it on his own or that he needs to do it on his own so that the death toll can be as low as possible. I think that confuses him because they know who he is and his strengths/weaknesses and the fact they don’t want him to do whatever he has decided/don’t believe he can, his confusion goes from 0 to 100 fast. Plus, I think the symbol he wants Batman to be has a strong hold on him, so while he knows the obvious things about Batman... like it being him and such, there’s the small belief in the symbol he’s become and because of that, he believes he can do anything -- which again, is why he gets so confused.
