     I don’t care what people do and don’t ship. Not at all. But dear, dear god, when someone’s misinformed ass tries to come at me for shipping something, I flip my lid. And (whether it’s surprising or not) it’s happened a lot in this fandom with Ignoct.

     I don’t ??? Care if you don’t like the ship??? It’s nothing personal and it doesn’t have to be, but I’ve seen people coming at shippers because 1) the character dynamic bothers them (forget the fact that Noctis has known Ignis, grew up with Ignis, for 17 years, and that both as his confidante and friend you can bet your ass Ignis knows shit about Noct and what he’s done/gone through/etc that other people wouldn’t even dream of knowing) or because 2) the age difference (need I say more, I mean the age gap between Noct and Luna is twice the gap between Noct and Ignis) or even because, and this is the worst, 3) Ignis is the mom of the group — which goes back to ‘character dynamics’ to an extent, but it’s so specific and honestly so surprisingly widespread that it bears mentioning on his own. I’m not even gonna get into the whole masculinity and femininity argument here because a lot of people have managed to dissect it much more eloquently than I could right now, honestly, but it’s worth the mention.

     TL;DR who gives a flying fuck who ships what just don’t come after people and make it personal

noctis + Ignis secretly dating AU

1)

Ignis normally is the one covering things up. While Noct all the time says it would be fine, Iggy is the one that makes sure no one finds out. Making out in the closet? Have to stay quiet. Left a shirt in the other’s room? Ah, I did ur laundry is all.

2)

Noctis always tries to make out with Iggy at the worst times. “We are about to have a meeting, no I will not kiss you in the middle of the hallway.” And Noctis just enjoys messing with the man more than he should. Maybe even leave a hickey. Iggy hates lying about how that random spot on his neck got so dark.

3) 

Noct and Iggy always ALMOST get caught by Gladio. Of course Gladio knows and has told Noct but didn’t tell Iggy. They agreed not to inform the man of the development to try and keep him from losing his hair.

4)

Prompto has some inkling suspicion of what is going on between them but doesn’t say anything. All he notices is how often Iggy is looing at Noct or vise versa in the pictures he takes. Hard not to notice when gooey eyes are happening.

5)

It is normally Noctis who goes searching for Ignis and not the other way around. While Ignis is more often than not only a few feet away, when he isn’t there Noct gets bored. He tends to go searching for the man to pull him away in whatever meeting he is in saying it is “official prince business” but really he just wants his attention.

            "Noct, what’re you--” The prince’s hands were on his waist, his lips brushing against the skin of his neck. A moan escapes his lips as he tilts his head, nails digging into the leather of his jacket. After a moment, he realizes the sort of position they were in and he froze, eyes widening. 

            “N-Noct, stop,” he grumbles, attempting to push him away. His only response was a groan as his hands wander, grasping at Prompto’s ass as his lifts his head to meet his gaze.

            “No.”

            With that his lips are on Prompto’s, teeth pulling at his bottom lip in an attempt to get him to open up. The blonde moans, tugging at the fabric of his shirt, kissing back without a moment’s hesitation. When he pulls back they’re both panting, and he swears he sees a flash of SOMETHING in Noctis’ eyes.

             “I’m sorry.”

            “Huh?”

            Noctis sighs, running a hand through his hair. “I...I shouldn’t have. I just saw you with that girl, and I...I freaked, alright?” He refuses to meet Prompto’s gaze, and despite the numbness of his lips he couldn’t help but SMILE.

            “You...wanted to kiss me?” His eyes sparkle with mischief, and he reaches up to grab Noctis’ chin. “Well you should’ve just TOLD me.” And with that he’s nipping and sucking at Noctis’ lips, wrapping his arms around his waist and kissing him as if his life depended on it.

            “Prom...” Noctis says into his mouth, punctuating it with a moan. “I...”

            Prompto smiles, pulling back enough so that he can rest his forehead against Noctis’. “I know, bud.”

difficult times were hard to bear especially when the wounds still bled & prompto couldn’t just stand by any longer. sure, gladiolus gave him a very harsh threat if he went to comfort the prince but it was baseless. plus with the sheild’s temper miles high & ignis’ sight still not coming back, who else was there to offer an ear to noctis when he needed it most? 

when noctis failed to continue, the silence lingered on. it felt like there was no way he could try to uplift the mood regardless of if he tried or not. a lot happened much to soon & there wasn’t any leniency for one to catch his breath. must be worse for his royal companion, who carries the fate of his world in his hands now. 

❝ it wasn’t your fault. ❞ prompto’s tone is gentle but his words probably don’t bring much comfort. he can see that, he knew it when noctis faltered but he still wanted it out there— wants to let him know that what he’s saying is the truth even if noctis won’t come to terms with reality just yet.

         exhaustion worn 'pon her limbs and WEIGHED her down, and weariness tugged at her eyelids in spite of the staunch resolve she had not to sleep until the moon reached its HIGHEST peak in the sky tonight. she would not allow anyone to take her off GUARD. it was when she saw him that the fatigue gave way to shock, a jolt so quick the earth began to spin beneath her. it was no simply the earth              it was the recognition she saw in him.      ❛ my lord?! ❜      she must have sounded as one DRUNK to him, with how close to SLEEP she had been, but she swore it was him: could swear that she knew him ( that she had shed bitter tears over him more than once ).
