Marcus + Isaac (travel edition)

Who always gets the window seat on planes: Marcus. Isaac doesn’t like heights.

Who is in charge of the radio during road trips: Marcus lets Isaac pick.

Who over packs: Isaac probably. With his four thousand scarves.

Who initiates car games: Isaac would try to because he gets antsy in the car.

Who, without fail, accidentally leaves something important at home: Isaac probably

Who takes all the free things (shampoo, soap, shower caps) from the hotel: Isaac

Who gets searched at the airport for looking ‘suspicious’: Marcus probably

Who wakes the other up at 7 AM to go eat the complimentary hotel breakfast: Isaac. 1) cause he’s up, 2) cause he likes free food.

Who insists on using a map to guide them around an unknown city: Marcus cause Isaac will just wander off.

Who is in charge of keeping up with the passports and other important documents: Marcus

Who buys the most novelty gifts for friends/family back home: Isaac

Do they go on more adventure type vacations or somewhere they can relax:  Exciting relaxing vacations

Who takes pictures of every single thing: Isaac

Who is the first to try the local cuisine: Isaac, with poor end results

Who forgets to put on sun screen and gets burned to a crisp: Neither, cause they can’t get sunburn

Who uses packing/vacation checklists and who just wings it: Both wing it.

Who says “I want to go back” the moment they get back home: Isaac

Simon frowned but nodded. "Okay Papa. No more bad words." Maia's head peeked at the mention of coffee. "Aunt Lydia let me have some! She said 'in order to survive you need coffee'. She looked very tired though and I got really tired after drinking it." Isaac frowned and shot Stiles a look, knowing his husband was closer to the redhead than he was. "Well no more coffee okay Maia?" Isaac said soft but firm in agreement with the kids don't need caffeine stance.

stiles shook his head, rubbing his face as isaac gave him a look. “why are you looking at me? i didn’t give her coffee.” he mumbled, chewing on his bottom lip before turning back to maia and smiling softly. “no more coffee for you, it will make you short and you wanna be tall like daddy.” he kissed her nose then his son’s before looking at isaac, standing up and heading towards the kitchen. “i’m gonna order pizza!”

Isaac frowned. "Of course you do because they got it from you." His frown didn't last long though as Simon beamed down at him and Maia giggled like a lunatic. "Daddy says bad words will make our teeth rot out," Simon announced, "but he said 'fuck' when a flower bit him!"

stiles smiled widely at isaac, shrugging. “i have no filter, i can’t help it.” he bit his lip as he shook his head, shit was one thing but fuck was another. “hey bud, let’s not say that word okay?” he smiled softly, rubbing his head. “and just because daddy and papa say something doesn’t mean you guys can say it okay? kind of like how we can have coffee but you guys can’t yet. kind of files under the perks of being an adult.”

Isaac grinned at the noise. Of course he was going to rule Stiles up since their bed was to be invaded tonight. Payback. He hummed at Maia. "I think Uncle Scott, Aunt Kira and Amara left for New York this morning Princess." Maia pouted and huffed softly. "That's shitty," she said, not fully understanding what it really meant. The words were quickly parroted by Simon. "Yeah! That's shitty!" He squawked out.

stiles tried to hide his laughter as his children cussed, looking over at his husband before bursting out laughing. he tried to cover his mouth or something but that’s not working. he just sat there and laughed. he stopped laughing and took a deep breath, looking at isaac. “i agree with them.”

Isaac chuckled. He leaned in close to Stiles ear, nipping it before whispering, "I was joking babe." He hugged Simon to him before letting the boy climb up to his shoulders. Maia just curled to Stiles chest, content to be held. "Papa, we should invite Uncle Scott and Aunt Kira and they should bring over Amara! I miss them!"

stiles groaned, trying to control himself around the kids but ear nipping was just one of his weaknesses. “well you should be better at joking.” he rubbed his daughters back, holding her close as he sits down on the couch. “they were literally here yesterday morning.” he laughed but agreed. “as long as daddy is okay with them coming over we can invite them.”

Relief washed over Isaac as he grinned at their children squirming and giggling. "Papa wins that means he gets to pick what goes on tonight's pizza. Anchovies or broccoli, yay!" Both Maia and Simon pouted. "No, that's yucky!" Simon said. "Papa pretty please can we have sausage?" The boy said, breaking out his best manipulative and adorable look. Maia hid a grin behind her fingers as Simon always got their fathers to do anything.

stiles pouted too, shaking his head. “anchovies and broccoli on pizza?” he said, standing up and picking up his daughter as he did. “we can have whatever you guys want.” he said, sticking his tongue out at isaac once more as he brought out his phone to place the order.

That Lahey kid is an idiot. No sense of self preservation at all.

Marcus assumed that, based on the very small bits McCall had told him about Lahey with a very sad look, that his past had not been pleasant and therefore thought that he could either survive whatever or was an obvious sacrifice for the better good. In any case, Marcus thought he was an idiot.

What kind of moron would just run head first into danger for someone? Especially for someone like Marcus, who was far more durable, older, and not worth saving. It mad Marcus so angry that he would throw his life away. For him. It made him so angry that he’d stay up at night thinking about what would happen if Lahey actually got hurt, or worse died, because he was so stupid and it would stab a knife in his gut. Because he was angry. Angry for him being so stupid. He’d think about his stupid face, or stupid smile, or that stupid shrug Lahey would give him when he told him not to do it, and just get more and more angry because he wouldn’t listen.

Lahey was such an idiot. Marcus would have to look out for him.
