then a gaming laptop might not hurt. I got one because my logic was that if it's good for gaming, it should be good for photoshop/graphic design stuff. and so far I haven't been proven wrong (i've had it for a little over a month) things look much better on my new laptop then they did on the old one (its small things but still looks nicer). Also it doesn't hurt to go into a store and talk to a person who know tech stuff (specially laptops) who might be able to understand what your needs are and what would suit you. and if needed drag a friend along who would be willing to talk for you if need (I've done talking for a friend a few times :))
