Kubo just got the Select Book!

On her instagram, she also wrote a longer post about it and about the movie, so let me translate below: [may contain mistakes]

“The key frame illustration book has finally also arrived at my house! Brilliance full of gifts… Thank you so much! I want to bow my head to all the amazing key frames in the book… Actually I should tell myself to work hard as well~! It’s been roughly 2 years since the TV anime aired!

I am so very happy to be involved in such a well-beloved project. Thank you so much for your continuous support. It always gets to me.

We often are hurried by overseas fans writing “When is more news coming??”, but we’re all working hard on the movie behind the scenes! I just can’t show you the things I’m drawing now! I am giving my undivided attention to daily work first, and food second nowadays.

Since it’s all behind the scenes, there is nothing I will be able to announce before the official channels, but I will appreciate if you look out for me!

Now that the GP series has started, there’s too many things to look out for…”

I’m personally very happy that we’re getting more news, but what doesn’t make me happy is that Kubo is putting work first and food second, and uh… I’m not sure what to say but can we just show some patience to what Kubo and the people working on the movie are doing? Thank you 🙏

I should probably clarify my phrasing wasn’t great but what she’s saying is basically that she has two priorities now, and they are work, and food, in that order. Don’t worry, judging by her IG photos of her meals, she’s eating well.

ok so i’ve seen 1 post on tumblr about this but it seems pretty legit, especially bc i’ve found a little bit of info in my hunt bUT apparently in some theaters across the USA (and maybe more of NA??) there is going to be a 4hr20min binge of all of season 1 of yoi 

what i need help with is finding more info

what i know right now: it’s going to be October 13 (this is the only date i’ve seen, but idk if it’s the only one at all), there are some websites that are selling tickets already, it’s a thing done by crunchyroll so it’s probably gonna be dub, and there is thoughts that ticket sales for the binge will affect the probability of Ice Adolescence coming to the US

what i desperately NEED TO KNOW: where can i buy tickets?? how much do they cost? what theaters is it coming to?  

those are the basics, at least. i am not super great at finding things, but i’m going to keep looking.

looks like me doing a giveaway in june might be becoming a tradition! back when i preordered the canvas bags a few months ago, i was thinking of doing the giveaway just to share the yoi love, which is a perfectly good and valid reason to do things. but well, then this blog ended up reaching 14k followers and that’s kind of a lot more than i ever expected… so i decided to combine the celebration with the giveaway. in other words, it’s still the same giveaway but with me saying things like “thank you so much”, “what the f*ck”, “how”, “oh my god”, “i love you all” and “don’t laugh at me i really do love you all almost as much as vitya and yuuri love each other oh and also what the actual f*ck”
